just to give an update on this mod: there is an issue with the mod deleting your resources when deconstructing your own storage rooms.
also: this mod was abandoned a year ago - i made a clone - fixed the resource deletion issue and will try to keep up with updates :)

Hey, we got some problems with the cost calculations / ship building while using a x10 Storage mod. Do you have the same Problem with this mod?

Seems to delete all resources when deconstructing the storage to place it somewhere else.

Mod appears to be working for me just fine in the latest game version. What exactly was broken for people? I know the warning about mods not working is purely a version check, if the author hasn't updated that, the game flags it. Can be ignored and things work.

Mod is broken ATM. When you change your ship you will lose 90% of all resource each time.

It's not a bug, unfortunately. It is one of mod settings to prevent you getting flooded with resources later on in the game - dismantling return parts of resources in storage. Even vanilla does not have it at 100% I think?

I found a bug. The small Storage Pods you can find loose most of their loot. Without the mod it dropped: 21 Steel, 2 Diamonds and 13 Tritanium. With the mod it dropped: 11 Steel and 2 Tritanium

I don't exactly know what'd happen if you changed the storage values to be lower, but my guess is that excess resources would either just get removed or jetisoned into space.
As for the enemies having that many ores and ammo, sadly the only way to "fix" that would be to lower the storage values of the ores and ammo, as I don't believe there's a way to change the amount of stored things inside other ships or atleast I haven't found a way to change that yet and it's based on a percentage of the vessel's total storage (so x10 storage means x10 times ammo).

By the way, when I destroed the pirate station or ship, it's have storage fully filled up with ores and ammo, so it's like cheating x10 ores and ammo. Is it fixable?
Also, is it possible to not alter ammo stack in guns?

If I'll delete or alter mod by lowering storage vallues, does the resources that can't fit anymore dissappear or just fall out when I load the game?

Had a weird bug where it wouldnt fill up the storages all the way but only partially or not at all in some so I couldnt collect resources from ships I destroyed.

@Vjorkal, not really sure if thats just me, but the same also just happens to me when i play with normal storage capacities. What usually just worked for me was just waiting for traders to buy stuff from the station so it empties again, so that you can sell it stuff again.

I enjoy the mod but... like someone else said, if you spend time in a system then you can't sell stuff there anymore. NPC traders filled it up to the brim. Can't do the quests.
It's game breaking.
Do you plan on fixing it?

Since the drop rates are based on storage, it modifies drop rates to only drop 10% of "full" storage of enemies as they now have 10x the storage.

So they won't drop 10x the stuff.

Hey, Idk if this is directly related to this mod but everytime i come across a little storage pod the contents are destroyed on deconstruction, regardless of whether or not this mod is the cause, how would i get around this? ive tried to transfer the items but it simply doesnt show up on my transfer list.

That was... basically what I was trying to say. By percentage I meant that they'll just spawn with the resources in the blueprint, yes, though since I doubt that every ship's blueprints has it's entire storage blueprint filled with resources I just said percentage instead, my bad.

You both seem to misunderstand what I was saying. Since NPC ships get 'full hold' based on the blueprint for the ship, a bigger hold means more to cargo loot to drop. So reducing the 'destroyed hold' loot to 10% counteracts that cargo inflation on spawn. Also glad to hear player cargo hold is a different percentage so no loss to damage to ship.

@WilleSea that's there because apparently npc ships spawn with a percentage of the full cargo storage, so ten times the capacity would mean ten times the stuff they carry around and to not just make every single npc ship give you like 2 million in steel and ammo and whatnot I reduced the salvage rates for the storage units, since a few people were complaining about that. Also if your hold gets destroyed you should still get the amount you used to, since player parts have their own salvage percentages... atleast I'm pretty sure it should work that way.

I assume changing the drop rate from cargo holds to 10% counteracts the NPC ships getting 'full holds' when spawned? I have not tested that part yet, but sound feasible. But that probably means if I get a cargo hold destroyed, I loose everything in it but 10%. Small price to pay in order to sell my loot to stations, now that they actually have hold space.

i hope this mod only effect you though. so enemy ai wont use it if possible.
