Forrest im prob planning to instal your older version but is it possible for you to upload your latest version to dropbox and that we can download that one? Cuz im not sure if twi will ever update the kf2 servers knowing their bad track record of dropping support for their older games (like kf1 its broken workshop)

yep also have this version mismatch issue, i tried to overwrite those server files from that fix but it didnt want to overwrite them, it failed constantly.

Oh right, Steam screws these URLs up. Remove the &dl=0 part of the URL else steams adds stuff to it that screws up the link

Okay so for the people getting a version mismatch you can download this

This is the version before this update and the one most servers who don't apply the workshop fix will be using.

You install this to Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Published\BrewedPC

Fair warning that this might cause issues if you join a server using the latest version but it's unlikely if you install it there

This solution DOESN'T seem to help on the auto updating unfortunately Forrest.

My solution was to pull the files from a client and place them in the server cache.
I think this might be a more unique issue than the steam file compression error.

You could manually install the EGS version above, but this can cause issues if I update the workshop item again

Sadly these issues are related to steam changing the compression method used by workshop items, I can not fix this on my side

This probably means that the server hasn't updated to the latest version of UKFP yet, or the version you have isn't the latest.

I keep getting ""unoffcial kfpatch" version mismatch" notification and unable to join a certain server. Is there any way to fix?

I directly updated the server cache with the mod data from my client workshop, and the new settings seem to work from what I've tested. I believe the DLC weapons now report buyable as they did before I installed this.

However, it seems the Dynamic MOTD is reporting completely random settings values unrelated to the server settings.

And the mod still reports the failure to update below.

I'm having some users having issues connecting to my server. They are getting the error, connection lost unofficial kf patch mismatch.

How can they fix this?

Okay so, sad to say. If I restore the original system then the guns will all be gone cause then the default KF2 system will kick in so it's an issue of someone not setting SharedUnlockId to 0 in the weapon def

So the DLC weapons have been buyable by double clicking the weapon name, but even with this new config feature they still say (DLC) over the buy button.

having an issue with the trader menu locking the DLC weapons for some reason, I'm hosting with Zedternal Reborn at the moment.

I tried a number of launch combos to disable the Trader changes from this mod, but it almost seems like its ignoring those commands. Heres my launch options, someone tell me if you see something wrong. (Private commands omitted.)((Ignore that im evoking FriendlyHUD incorrectly.))

yes i have read that you modified most of the "holdout" maps to somewhat make them work with endless, thats why i wanted to test it out myself if they would work or not, i have them disabled from my endless map pool for now to prevent players that play on my server from softlocking themselves like i had.

Sadly the code to make it work with endless isn't perfect so has a chance to not work on certent decent maps, more so ones with differing kismet than the one used in Biolapse

ok thx for the responds, i also have a bug to report, i recently played endless on the descent and i encountered an bug on one of the floors when it was trader time the door didnt want to open ending up softlocking me on that floor.

This sounds like something is tripping TWIs anti-tamper system sadly which is impossible to debug since it gives a generic error message. The only thing I can suggest is to delete the mods ini and then tamper with using different parameters

People can't seem to join the server when the Unofficial Patch mutator is running for me. I have other workshop items added on the server (maps, and other addons like YAS) and people can connect fine, until I turn the mutator on. They seem to disconnect as soon as they connect (can only see that via the dedicated server log, nothing shows up in in-game chat). Workshop seems to work correctly as I was able to connect to the server and it was downloading missing files when I removed workshop packages from my PC. Don't really know how else I can check since most of my friends don't play KF2 lol. Maybe I missed something when setting the server up? I dunno. Shame, cuz this really seems like the best way to play the game.
