Without using any beta version, loading this MOD and starting a new game will crash.

ah sorry, i don't use the beta version. I though the other mods interfere with the game but i try with only this mod and when you start new game, it just crash and exit the game

Ok, that is likely the problem. The mod is made for the current version of the game, not any beta previews.

Updated. If this doesn't work I think I know why but solving the issue will mean I cannot guarantee that the ControlSpaceAsset mission does not occur. It would be Alterac's solution which is to simply make it so it is very, very hard for the mission to succeed.

After disabling the mod, the game does not crash. There is definitely an issue.

Consistent crash on the same date every time even if I load back 3 turns behind.
Player.log shows me the same as it does for Aspark.

The only other mod I had on was Tayta's Anime Councilors and that probably didn't modify the mission template.

Thanks Alterac! I implemented your solution to the mod. So the option is still disabled, but for whatever causes ControlSpaceAsset to trigger, the player will now have a base 99 bonus to defense making such rare capture attempts almost assuredly fail.

So Just incase anyone else has an issue you can do the following until there's a way to fix this error. (To the Author: Your method of removing the mission from the default templates was an elegant solution until it stopped working, hats off to you for figuring it out)

Find the following file in the game files TIMissionTemplate

Look for the ControlSpaceAsset Mission in the file

find the "flatModifier": 12 change the 12 to 99

Remember if your MC goes over the limit the above change won't save your station either way... Going over MC limit will cause the mission to succeed more often than not regardless of the modifier.

Thanks Esmarix! I've been using the TIMissionTemplate to disable the ControlSpaceAsset mission. I added in your TICouncelorTypeTemplate solution as well to see if it works. Let me know if there are any more problems!

don't know how you did it, was it via mission difficulty? I made a change on my end in the councilortypetemplate where it lists the missions they can do and then I just removed this mission type from them all, has worked so far on my end with no issues and with several other mods at the same time.

ofc it is, check the last update time and then the what version the game is on. However because it is still here you can go check out the files and make similar adjustments on your own end so you get the function of this mod. It is not too hard if you know your way around file paths and a notepad.

Oh does this mod not work anymore? I still use it in my games and I havn't had a space asset taken over by enemy councilors yet. Maybe that was just luck...thought it was cause of this mod

its actually rather nice for those of us who dabble with modding when they leave their work on the workshop as we can then see what it does and how it does it and can in many cases replicate it on our own end :) you could give it a try if you really need the function of this mod since the game is really not that hard to mod when doing basic value changes in the files.
