This is very odd, but this addon is getting old now and it not currently being updated, so it is likely that something is broken.

I will test myself some time soon, and I'll tell you if I figure out the issue!

Why doesn't the hacker attack the player even if I turn on/off the qtg_hacker_pacifist command? I shoot at him and he doesn't care!

You do not know the power of this npc, Place it in gm_construct_13_beta and watch it kill any entity thats an npc.

That is correct. But if you want the NPC to always be friendly, type in the developer console this command:
qtg_hacker_pacifist 1

so qtg is neutral till u attack him

"Neptune QTG" was a great addon creator who made the NPC that this is based on, or "fully" inspired by. They eventually ended up quitting steam around 2022, the reasons are not 100% clear, so I don't want to state anything. Either way, they have made made no "obvious" return since, as far as I know.

No, the admin toolgun isn't what I used to kill him. I did test that and it doesn't kill him.

I just killed him today lol. I'm not going to say what I did or what I used to kill him, but he is killable. And no, I didn't use the command qtg_hacker_removeall, it was a different way. Not truly invincible lol.

ok so by you making the hacker have the world as a parent the god crowbar can now remove the human model but the npc still exists

edit: by using the intelligent HUD and setting unknown discoverable you can see the location of the npc bounding box
note: when restarting he reappears
note2: when cleaning the map he still exists but is still in that limbo state
note3: when in this limbo state hes powerless as he has no hit box so you cant hit him and he cant hit you if you use hollow or any auto targeting stuff he still kills you and he can kill npcs
note²: you can now use the hollow purple from gJujutsu to do the same thing (he kills you if you have pacifist off with this option but its not admin only)

also mb if you get notified for all the comments i deleted (for the edits) for some reason i cant post in the bug report channel

Why does it make fps go from 150-170 to 60-80. When i enable this addon my fps just gets 2 times lower, even if i didnt even spawn the npc.

Fun Fact: this is pretty much GOD.

@Zaurzo honestly i'm not sure if it is an addon on gmod (was searching for if it was and thats how i got here) but its a m.u.g.e.n thing, acts basically as a benchmark with each attack progressively getting "stronger" using differing methods

You can type qtg_hacker_removeall in console, or if you wanna remove just one you can look at it and type ent_remove in console, but that will need sv_cheats to be set to 1.

I wanna try killing the QTG hacker again but I don't wanna break my gmod so bad beyond repair again, I really hope there's a backup plan if it does actually somehow die and doesn't completely break everything in 2.0.
