@Johny Macabre I agree it's pretty silly. I just updated the about.xml with the 1.5 tag to answer I request in the comment section. But yeah, I wouldn't recommend using this patch given that the main mod isn't updated and likely never will be.

Um, how is this patch for 1.5 when Cosmic Horrors is abandoned at 1.4 and doesn't function on 1.5?

@TurtleShroom: Lovecraft fans are starving, everything you can do would be great.

Even a mod that brings the Horrors back as wild animals, or the clothing would be great.

Disconcerting. Sadly, I don't know any C-Sharp, but the rest of the Mod could be decoupled, albeit with great difficulty. For the spawning Events to work, I'd need someone to help me with C-Sharp.

The Cosmic Horror mod unfortunately still relies on JecsTools, a notoriously TPS-heavy and unoptimized bit of code- And Jec themselves has been MIA from Rimworld modding for months now. Just Rimworld, mind you, they've been active playing other games and such at a normal pace, but they've completely abandoned their workshop content by the look of it.

You are correct. Neither the Factions nor the Cthulhu Mod got updated, which is insane to me, because it could have full "Anomaly" support.

@TurtleShroom there you go :) didn't realy need updating tbh. I was planning to update if (and when) the cosmic horror mod gets updated. Afaik it never got updated to 1.5

I do love all the "for my personal use" mods people have shared :)
Might you license the code open source, so others could grab 95% of it and make 1 small change (e.g., making the MiGo matter woody for my own play)?
(I just make mine all LGPL but others have done anything from MIT to CC-by-attribution)

I have seen (insect) chitin as a Woody substance. I wonder about making MiGo matter a woody substance instead of a fabric....

Nothing is funnier than insta-taming these guys with the wildspeaker taming psycast. The colony's lead animal handler + wildspeaker psycaster is like a crazy cat lady but for horrors beyond comprehension... also trolls from ESCP trolls... and muffalos. Some horrors may die, but for cosmic horror skin parkas and not seeing my freezer emptied, that is a price this mod makes me very willing to make.

@Profilename the very first sentence of my mod description : "This is a small, lightweight patch to tweak Call of Cthulhu - Cosmic Horrors and if present, Call of Cthulhu - Cults." . the reason they aren't present with their own stat grid is because I ran out of writing-space. Steam is arbitrary that way ^^

@ProfileName it's alrdy included. If you have Cults active in your LO, this patch will patch those leathers too.

@The Grapest Jecrell is most certainly no longer active. Luckily we got an angel called Mllie who descended from heaven to save the day. Without Mllie we'd have lost many more mods.

@Wilhelm Wegner glad it's working out :). I realy don't get why in the base mod leather values were so weak. It's like making dragon scales weaker than chicken-hide :p.

@Wilhelm Wegner yes, absolutely. I removed the hard requirement, meaning you could technically load this mod without either CH mods (this will crash your game likely). However your mod organizer (Rimpy or otherwise) will mention it must be loaded after either base CH mod, or xml edition (don't use both).

@Wilhelm Wegner : hell, I didn't even know about that mod :p, interesting. I'm fairly confidednt this mod should work with Xml edition, except you'll get a red dependency error. If the author of that mod did not modify ThingDef names (why would he?), and left leathers as they were, it should work.

To make it work I should change dependencies and remove the tech-level patch (apparently he changed the whole factiondef to a new one). let me look into it.

Well they both show up in your workshop, could I friend you? Maybe get some input on this project me and my friend are working on? He's never touched Rimworld code, but is an experienced coder so he's learning quick, but someone who has touched it (no matter their experience) may be able to answer some questions I can't xD
