Any chance you will ever make it so that this mod overwrites the vanilla textures for the new trainign items that came with Odyssey? :)
Miramelle 24 Jul @ 11:15pm
Thanks for popping the old textures back in, I'm also keeping them for my current industrial run. The new ones look great, definitely gonna change over for rustic playthroughs!

Sir, I thank you on behalf of our brothers and sisters who are part of this community called "rimworld". Your efforts will not go down without notice.

@ZX Zero That's my bad, pushed a fix. But yes while i won't really push a fix every monday, do make a local copy just in case

@the Prince of Awesomeness They were both aimed to be rustic, the new one are a tad more but they should fit in even if you aren't aiming for medieval/early times. I wanted to remake them because i didn't feel like they were good enough, and i wanted to improve upon it
the Prince of Awesomeness 24 Jul @ 9:05am
ok, i like the new texture you made but why? was your first texture to modern?
(≡◉‿‿◉≡) 24 Jul @ 7:15am
@Sir Van Thanks :)
ZX Zero 24 Jul @ 6:40am
You forgot to add the old texture mask of ShootingRangeTargetOld_east, i make a local copy to maintain the old and new textures more easily.
Sir Van  [author] 24 Jul @ 4:41am
A file has been added in with the old textures. They are tagged as Old, simply delete the new ones, move the old ones and remove the Old from their name
UltraEmailMan 23 Jul @ 11:35pm
Thanks. I like the new textures, and they work great with medieval and vanilla themes, but I agree the older ones worked better with modern/sci fi themes. Leaving them in as optional replacers is a good idea.
Sir Van  [author] 23 Jul @ 9:57am
@(≡◉‿‿◉≡) Both were aimed to be rustic-fitting. But sure, i can add the old ones to the folder, but you (or anyone which wants the old textures) will need to modify the texture names directly in the files while deleting the others.

Hello, no offense but the old textures look much better for a modern run. I mean the actual old retexture before the update. While this one looks good for medieval.

I haven't tested this yet but does this mod also include the old textures if I use the "change the graphic" ability?

If not. Can you please include it if it's not too much of a hassle.
thanks !
Sir Van  [author] 18 Jul @ 11:43am
I will get to the 1.6 update, with some fresher textures. Soon
(≡◉‿‿◉≡) 18 Jul @ 11:17am
1.6 please :)
Espiovvv 11 Jul @ 4:19am
1.6?

Getting a warning too. Missing dependency. Misc Training (haplo.miscellaneous.training)
SiaNKs 3 Mar @ 3:09pm
@Laedir It says in description
Vazzaroth 11 Sep, 2024 @ 11:10am
I have Misc Training (No Task) variant and it seems I get errors in rimpy. Not sure how impact it is, but I wanted to note that. Perhaps its when you have these versions of the mod?
Saucylot 10 Jul, 2024 @ 8:44pm
Where do I make the shooting dummys/targets? I see the punching bag in rec but can't find the others.
Laedir 22 Jun, 2024 @ 9:33am
does it require the original mod? couldn't find it in the description
olaflex0306 21 May, 2024 @ 12:50pm
rimpy brings a weird warning with this mod being used with the Misc. training (no task) version
Schadock [The Angeloids] 19 May, 2024 @ 7:01am
my pawns only gain recreation when i manually put them on them and if they do it by themselves they wil interact without gaining any recreation, anyone any idea why?
lol 10 May, 2024 @ 12:26pm
Maybe a Misc. Training Steam dependency? Would be usefu for a quick link
Sir Van  [author] 22 Mar, 2024 @ 10:53am
@Deadmano Huh, good to know. Well glad that it works then
Deadmano 22 Mar, 2024 @ 10:26am
@Sir Van: RimPy (not sure about RimSort) has a hardcoded database that snapshots your mod and saw the dependency whenever it last ran an update, so that may be why. Definitely not something on your end. The error is harmless and it still works, hopefully RimPy will update their database at some point. I did make a post regarding it. One can also edit the db.json file in the database folder of RimPy to remove the entire key that references this mod with the dependency.
Sir Van  [author] 22 Mar, 2024 @ 1:16am
@Deadmano No probs, tho in my testing it somehow just told me i still required base misc training even tho literally nothing anywhere linked to it so i guess it was something on my end

Didn't announce it because i got mad at it and got to other things
Deadmano 21 Mar, 2024 @ 7:36pm
THANK YOU, you beautiful person!
Deadmano 20 Mar, 2024 @ 8:09pm
Hiya Sir Van! Amazing work as always! Any chance I could ask you to drop the required "Misc. Training" dependency? This also works with Misc. Training (no Task) which is preferable if you have a ton of custom job types already, and is made by the same author (exact same mod sans tasks, and uses same Def names so your patches work as-is, I've tested). Otherwise RimPy and other mod managers/in-game complain about a missing mod file and I really want to use this with the no-task version. Pretty please?
Gerewoatle 15 Oct, 2023 @ 7:39pm
This is RimWorld, the US military was eaten by insectoids thousands of years ago when they made their brave last stand at the Battle of Disney World. As a result, esoteric knowledge like aiming for center mass is long lost.
Derrick da Fox 15 Oct, 2023 @ 6:01pm
looking at the shooting dummy, it makes sense for there to be a target on the chest, as in the US military, they're trained to hit center mass.
Tardo The Ass-Monkey 18 Jun, 2023 @ 1:40pm
Would you be open to making an alternate medieval version, where the melee training dummy is replaced with something similar to the Skyrim training dummies (with the sword and shield on the arms)? I love having the Misc Training mod, but the textures are kind of jarring for me.
Caz 14 Jun, 2023 @ 1:13pm
How do I change the dependency on Misc. Training? RimPy fusses when using Misc. Training (no Task). I've tried adding it to the About.xml, but it still looks for the other mod as a dependency.
Deon ☣ 13 Jan, 2023 @ 10:11am
P.S. To get rid of the error, load the mod AFTER misc.training.
Deon ☣ 13 Jan, 2023 @ 10:09am
To answer La__Fonzi's question:

Textures in the mod are of the correct size, it is complaining about original textures being too small and not having a mask.
Yrm1e 17 Nov, 2022 @ 12:23am
epic
Allowin 1 Nov, 2022 @ 7:28pm
great job!
unknown user 30 Oct, 2022 @ 12:08pm
awesome thank you!
亡霄雨 29 Oct, 2022 @ 6:48pm
cool
La__fonzi 25 Oct, 2022 @ 1:08pm
ive got an error where the texturs are the wrong mask size so the log file says they are will get excluded. https://gist.github.com/3bdda66e6d4c635d9ddfc03746199d8c
DisKorruptd 24 Oct, 2022 @ 12:06am
did updating the mod to flag for 1.4 by chance include adding a flag of requiring either Misc Training OR the no-bill version of Misc Training?
vandujr 22 Oct, 2022 @ 4:09pm
VAN? VAN??? That's my name!
Sir Van  [author] 21 Oct, 2022 @ 9:05am
I'll update it when i'm up, but if misc training is 1.4 then it should work too
nullptr 21 Oct, 2022 @ 8:50am
Oh ok. It would still be nice for it to be flagged for 1.4, whenever the author gets a chance.
Pikachu Pæc 21 Oct, 2022 @ 6:55am
@nullptr It's a texture mod, it should work regardless.
nullptr 20 Oct, 2022 @ 12:51pm
Can you update this to 1.4? Thank you
LXE 17 Oct, 2022 @ 2:11pm
looks awesome, broken perspective of the archery target always bothered me
DisKorruptd 11 Oct, 2022 @ 2:30pm
it does appear to work with it (I merely request that you make it not complain in the modlist then.)
Odz 16 Sep, 2022 @ 12:06am
Nice work frenchie
Zanthe 31 Aug, 2022 @ 8:32pm
Beautiful.
Sir Van  [author] 27 Aug, 2022 @ 3:06am
@DisKorruptd I believe that if it uses the same pathing for textures it should, if it doesn't just come scream at me
