you don't need the Kaos DLC, Kaos DLC just adds a few weapons + ammo, a vehicle and a few locations on the map as merchants to sell the DLC goods.

Do we need the Kaos Engine DLC to make use of this mod? I haven't dropped the $5 yet on it. I've been thinking of playing Phoenix Point again (since I scored it for cheap on Steam), and I would still like to see some changes in the base vehicles.

Spiked armour on Kaos Buggy really needs to do melee damage when passing adjacent enemy. I have seen it kill human NPC when it turns sometimes, but many times it just bumps into enemy and requires a new waypoint click to carry on. Things like mind fraggers and worms should die instantly. Others take damage just like when they try to melee hit Kaos engine with the spiked armour.

It already takes the spot of 3 troops and does not earn any xp or skill points.
Maybe a bit overkill on the nerfage.
I understand lower health and increase ammo, but not lower health and lower ammo... Kaos Buggy is the raw brute of close up and personal, the aim is very bad at anything out of close range.
Mutog though, badly needed a buff, so I will try those out, they look cool.
Id still like to be able to either retrain captured Mutog or...turn them into food..

Aww Kaos engine was great with its hit points, so much fun, just park it in a doorway in base block off enemy and pick them off.

I think if you nerf vehicle stats, then please increase the repair from technician as its seems quite low. A vehicle can easily pull all enemy aggro and take 800+ damage a round.
Techs need a slightly buffed repair IMHO.
I dont mind Kaos engine having lower points, it was a bit OP, it will change my play style, but i would like to be able to repair it in the field a bit better.

The description doesn't mention this, so ... does this mod require you to own DLC? Or does it work anyway, but just for the non-DLC stuff?

Contrary to what most here are saying I'm all for nerfs, make it a proper vehicle-rebalance mod. Very awesome what is there right now so far, though!

Would love to be able to equip a second or even a 3rd weapon on the scarab. That would make manufacturing more rocket systems make sense.

Vehicle weapon reload would be awesome. I don't mind carrying ammo for them.

@Zéîr BlueStart yeah its a copy-paste, we made some changes here and there. The poison value currenly is 60 - same as vanilla, but we add 60 piercing to help with weird situations where you could hit armoured parts and deal no damage and no poison. Of course you can still hit shields and weapons among other things (this venom tongue could really use free aim ... but its hard to do if even possible).
The mod is still WIP sort of, so some things will probably change

why the description say "Mutog Venomous Head Poison Tongue Poison 60 -> 80, Give ability to free Aim/target limbs" and just after that "Mutog Venomous Head Poison Tongue Poison 80 -> 60, Paralysis 8, Piercing 60", it does 80 or 60?

Love this, Vechs seem super underpowered. Is it possible to give them the ability to reload?
