Don't be worried, this mod does it basically the same way.
With Real Solar Systems, the planets that move are entirely fake, they're an illusion, and you get teleported to real planets placed REALLY far away from everything, including other real planets.
That's what a 'proxy planet' is, a fake planet which represents a real planet in space, with a zone around it that will teleport you to or from the real planet it's linked to.
Oh they do? I though they only orbited each other without rotating along their axis.
There's no point, this mod is redundant with Real Solar Systems.
The planets already rotate with that mod.

This mod seems to create GPS coordinates of any grid orbiting a planet every 4 seconds or so. Pretty soon I have hundreds of coordinates that lags and crashes the game. I will see if this is because of a conflict with the "real orbits" mod.
I could choose to not respond at all instead of informing you that I wasn't willing to spend the time to debug it and I felt the issue was not likely mine.
The only thing I think you'd actually need from planets is the atmosphere. If that can be moved without causing problems, then you can use dummy planets without a proper surface, the fake surface in its place, and move planets about the solar system to create orbits!
Combined with Real Stars, we can FINALLY have proper orbital mechanics in Space Engineers, complete with insertions and all the gravity fun.
The only downside I could see to using a fake surface for a planet is compatibility with mods, which is... probably not something you want to be providing patches for forever, or to rely on people to make patches.
While I appreciate your attempt to provide more information now, it's puzzling why it couldn't have been offered from the beginning. Your insinuation that I'm insisting on you fixing an issue, when all I did was ask a question about compatibility, feels unfounded and unnecessarily confrontational. I would have much preferred addressing the matter constructively rather than resorting to personal jabs or mischaracterizations.
As I said, its not an issue I can fix, as its not my issue. Its probably a combination of a few things, one is a bug in the game engine itself. Fortunately both the bug in the engine and the water mod were made by the same person. There is nothing I can do from MY end to fix this issue.
You are the one insisting I fix an issue I literally cannot fix, and calling me a dick for not doing it.
I am having an issue with an SE server where literally everything is light seconds away, including planets. This is the only mod that effects the world in some way and a world limit was already set.
Is there a list of commands that can be used with this mod printed somewhere for easy reference?
Bug: When I loaded this mod the first time it made my GPS go haywire, creating dozens of duplicates of all my GPS points. I tried deleting all the gps waypoints and just starting over, but everytime I open the GPS panel it recreates all my old waypoints and replicates them a million times in the wrong locations.
