does this currently work as intended for 4.0?
Journeyman Prime 15 Apr, 2024 @ 1:59am
While not urgent, this is a minor inconvenience as vanilla humans are ugly and Rick is cool.
Journeyman Prime 15 Apr, 2024 @ 1:59am
This mod seems to have a conflict with the "Rick the Cube" DLC. While this mod and the DLC is enabled this mod removes the portrait from the machine portrait list.
fre3men  [author] 29 Aug, 2023 @ 4:04pm
Fixed for 3.8
Beans 16 Jul, 2023 @ 9:56pm
Noticed the same thing when playing with the new update, as well as portrait animations bugging out though that could be from another mod of mine
Watchman 2 Jun, 2023 @ 4:44pm
@fre3men
For some reason there is one empty slot in humanoid portraits, right next to humans, and a bit further are those updated humans. Bug?
fre3men  [author] 21 Sep, 2022 @ 7:53am
Fixed!
viledagame 21 Sep, 2022 @ 5:05am
everyone became agent 47 with the new update, could you fix it?
Ardent Debater 20 Sep, 2022 @ 11:03pm
Can you fix the baldness bug with the new update?

Looks like it messes with the game's checksum, so no achivements for me...
Watchman 21 May, 2022 @ 7:47am
Still, if you know how I can change the name of portrait in files, so that it would be localised in game, I will be really greateful
Watchman 21 May, 2022 @ 7:34am
Oh, nevermind. Seems that Paradox fucked up localisation for Human portrait. Nice
Watchman 21 May, 2022 @ 7:27am
It changed the name of such portrait (and for example portraits of UNE e.t.c) to English language, kinda breaking the immersion. Can you explain what should I change in the game/mod file, so that it would be in my language?
Bocaan 21 May, 2022 @ 5:40am
Perfectly balanced as all things should be yet it created a disturbance within the community, as if a million voices cried out in fury! and in that very second the devs heard the voices and were shook to the core, fearful they retreated only to blame there stupidity as a graphical mistake in there next patch.
fre3men  [author] 19 May, 2022 @ 9:32am
Updated to 3.4.3
Paradox, in this new patch, recover the old portratis as Human Legacy, and new portraits as Human (UNE... has new portraits...). The mod change it! Human Legacy is Human and new portratis as Human Rework.
NöSTer 19 May, 2022 @ 8:31am
yes we did it
Pepperoncino 19 May, 2022 @ 3:47am
afaik according to new info on the hotfix update, they are gonna be returning legacy human portraits back as an option soon.
KingKolla 18 May, 2022 @ 11:42pm
Thankyou!
tenacity25 18 May, 2022 @ 8:46pm
I liked the new portraits, but I was expecting them to keep the originals, too. They really should just have both as options.
Dr_Skoda 18 May, 2022 @ 4:58pm
I was assuming it probably was an error somebody made before they pushed the update out, especially considering they all look identical, other than skin color.
fre3men  [author] 18 May, 2022 @ 8:21am
Hello, I don't think that Paradox has modified this for what some people mention, surely they wanted to do more portraits for give us more diversity and it went wrong, very wrong.

I particularly like the previous portraits much more, and that's why I made the MOD ;)

All the best.
Bocaan 18 May, 2022 @ 6:54am
i literally yesterday couldnt understand why everyone was going ape over the human porttraits brought the overlord DLC today and OMFG! the change was stark! is it racism? i think it actually is a form of racism by the devs which is why im glad this mod is here.

blacking out an entire ethnicity is racism no matter how you look at it but im not someone who hates black folk far from it im all for equal rights for all no matter who or what they are unless they are a filthy xeno in which case they die unless they prove to be smexy female space elves lol then they make good conqubines lol
K did literally nothing wrong 16 May, 2022 @ 9:49am
I find it hilarious that the new human phenotypes are all literal palette swaps so they wind up looking like:
East Asian
Tanned East Asian
Southeast Asian
Lighter Skinned East Asian
Inerael 16 May, 2022 @ 9:41am
Ahyou hype me, its exactly what i need for my god rp game !!!
I hope you will post it a day ^^
:)
fre3men  [author] 16 May, 2022 @ 8:37am
@Inerael, I made a lot of mods, but not all I upload them. I was testing this one specifically, but with several Paradox updates, I stopped checking it. In the future I will update it and add any more options. This mod gave the possibility to create life on planets (as pre-sapients) and make them evolve into primitives. Also with decisions such as making them sacrifice population and more mad ideas.
Inerael 16 May, 2022 @ 5:17am
Hello, i see at the bottom a mod named "I am a god" but i don't find it in your collection . is it the next mod to come or something like that ?
Xherdos 16 May, 2022 @ 12:42am
i really loved the old Portraits thank you for bringing them back.
Royal Raven 15 May, 2022 @ 11:44am
On PDX forums, someone posted and said Devs are going to work on bringing back the old human portraits and merge them with the new ones.

amen

Representation is a good thing. Everyone should speak up and feel represented. The more the merrier. Latest patch felt like a step backwards. I'd like to think we can have gingers in 2200

Geary 15 May, 2022 @ 12:20am
You, Sir. Are an invaluable asset to the Stellaris community. The developers must be smoking crack to have replaced the old phenotypes with these half-assed new human portraits... thank you, thank you, thank you, for this mod to bring the old portraits back.
Nomad 14 May, 2022 @ 6:26pm
I hate that this is necessary - thank you
Tinasbuddy 14 May, 2022 @ 2:04pm
thank god for this
Bluetail 14 May, 2022 @ 10:55am
It was this mod, and other mods that do the same this one does (No I didnt activate them with this on as well, counter productive)

So I guess Paradox just doesnt want their new portraits overwritten , atleast on my personal copy of Stellaris it does this, the bug where I cant have human portraits like the way they were.... That's sad, guess ill have exact same humans if I ever see or play as them now.
Bluetail 14 May, 2022 @ 10:46am
I don't have any other mods in my mod order that would screw with the portraits, but ill check.
fre3men  [author] 14 May, 2022 @ 10:43am
@Bluetail, I'm sorry. Have you tried varying the mod load order? put it at the end of the list of mods, at the beginning... I have own mods of empires, which when loaded with the new phenotypes, gave problems and did not show the ruler, I load this mod before the empires with humans and I shows the rulers well.
Bluetail 14 May, 2022 @ 10:38am
This didnt fix my problem, I think Paradox just screwed up human portraits permanently for me.
fre3men  [author] 14 May, 2022 @ 8:24am
@androouk I don't know why this happens to you, I have it installed and I don't have any problem, even for other own mods that I use like prescripted empires. No one who has it installed have mentioned that either. It is very rare, see if you can find the problem and tell us about it, may be another mod that have conflict?. All the best.
Bluetail 14 May, 2022 @ 6:54am
I hope this fixes my bug of humans having no heads, so its floating hair and clothes problem, as always Paradox ruining basic things for no reason and adding something completely out of the games art direction.
AndrooUK 14 May, 2022 @ 6:41am
Game will not load when I subscribe to this mod.
COCOMOJOE 14 May, 2022 @ 6:23am
I like how they got ride of white people in the new ones.... Wakanda forever...
Dr_Skoda 13 May, 2022 @ 9:16pm
The new faces are absolutely horrendous. Glad others think the same.
Flik the Changeling 13 May, 2022 @ 12:57pm
I do hope this will fix my problem with new faces ruining my humans in other mods XD
Z Кундаус Драгнил 13 May, 2022 @ 12:35pm
