B: If it is the cargo, is it just the Waste Water cargo or do other cargoes from this mod cause it?
I don't have time to test myself as I have an event to go to soon, but report back with those answers and I'll look into it when I have time.
This post will be in two parts.
v9.0 of the mod is live supporting Missouri and making a host of changes. Read the changelog for full details, but the short of it is this:
- Added support for companies that the mod was missing from previous DLC and base game states. This will be an ongoing effort pending future additions/changes from SCS. Likely if other states get reworks like Cali did. Looking at you Nevada and Arizona
- Lots of new companies throughout the map supported, chiefly, a bunch of gas stations. I wasn't aware they were added as deliverable companies. Full list of all new companies supported in changelog.
- Further inflated cargo availability. Added Recycled and Waste Water cargoes to some warehouses. May or may not make sense, just trying to expand availability for these trailers while SCS is lacking. Might do the same for food items to non-food markets.
- Temporarily removed support for Flatbed & Dropdeck Container Loads mod, pending that mod getting updates. New cargo loading system broke it. Gdog is aware that mod is broken, it will get updated when he has time, don't bug him about it.
Add an edit button for mod comments, Steam. Seriously, it's 2025. WTF
Sadly, I can't fix it unless the integrated mod gets an update. However, since it sounds like your game didn't crash, its no big worry as far as I can tell. You'll just have an empty, heavy trailer when taking those loads for now.
This is about the only mod of mine that I care deeply enough to keep updated frequently, as the Foodtank still sorely lacks cargo/cargo availability, but of course, it's one of the more tedious to do so.
Users: I'm now uncertain about my choice to make the Recycled Water and Waste Water cargoes exclusive to Chemtank trailers. Would you like to see it return to Fueltank and/or Foodtank trailers? Let me know!
Mod updated to 8.0. See Change Notes tab for full changelog. Notable changes:
* Added support for the Nebraska DLC
* Updated a company: Almond Farm updated to Calimondo
I can't promise a date for when this'll be updated for Nebraska, but I will try to get it done in a timely manner. As this is one of very few of my own mods I still run, chances are I'll update it "soonish" after Nebraska drops.
That being said, I'm still busy with my vol. FD. What I said Sep 30th, '23 still holds true, I'm still receiving/seeking training for roles I wish to fulfill in my VFD (you wouldn't believe the amount of time certain training takes). I'm also working more than I was in previous years.
So... It should still be expected that any new states may take upwards of a few months to update this mod for. I apologize in advance and ask y'all to please be patient. Thanks for your continued support guys. Peace be with you all and I'll see you out on the highways!
But yeah, occasionally the indicator light seems to be hit or miss. I'm just not sure if my recent indicator light wasn't working because of issues I seem to be having or something else. Load of plums from Reno to McAllen, reefer on or trailer's gonna need a real good washing out. lol
Mod updated to 7.0. See Change Notes tab for full changelog. Notable changes:
* Updated some raw fruit cargoes to have the Reefer indicator light active in both Freight and Cargo Markets.
* Added a new raw fruit cargo: Grapes.
I don't know why SCS hasn't added Grapes as a vanilla cargo since we have a couple wineries already, but I've added it for now. I may add Oranges as well at some point in the future. Again, no idea why SCS hasn't added crops like that in general given their huge focus on farms recently.
When I said "didn't work" I actually meant the reefer indicator light didn't work, but I could haul plums (in this case) with my reefer at least.
But could you add, from def.scs:
- def/cargo/butter/ model_scs_box.sii
(It's actually available in a few cargos, butter is just closest to the top.)
To:
- def/cargo/cherries/
- .../cranberries/
- .../plums/
And really any others you might deem appropriate. It makes them reefer compatible (and should really be chilled), and ideally turns on the reefer indicator light.
I just figured since you've got them, why not at least ask..? ;)
The mod has been updated for Kansas! Please see the Change Notes tab of the mod page for details.
I have not tested the update, so I am unsure of how much cargo availability has expanded within Kansas. When I updated for Oklahoma, I found that I still did not see much additional availability. I feel like that's due to how little Foodtank-capable companies there were, but I'm not 100% sure of that. Kansas may or may not be the same way.
If the mod doesn't seem to have updated on your guys' end, try either resubscribing to the mod, or restarting Steam.
Thank you also for your service. I live in a rural area with a volunteer Fire/Rescue service.
The mod has finally been updated for Oklahoma! Please see the Change Notes tab of the mod page for details.

Apologies that this took so long to update. There's a couple reasons for this, mostly that I've kinda been in a modding funk. I just haven't had the motivation to work much on maintaining my mods. I've also been fairly busy with my IRL life as a Volunteer Firefighter, getting training needed for the roles I'm looking to fulfill within my fire department, etc.
It should be expected in the future that any new states may take upwards of a few months to update this mod for. I apologize in advance and simply ask y'all to please be patient. Thanks for your continued support guys. Peace be with you all and keep trucking on!
I have a pretty good idea of livestock cargo to add (basically every livestock cargo IRL that would go into the trailer that SCS didn't add), but like already mentioned, this Foodtank cargo mod was more work than I anticipated to maintain.
In the future I may get tired of SCS ignoring cargo for some of the owned trailers & eventually do it if no-one else does. But I would lean towards that happening when they eventually, or get close to, finishing the Lower 48. B/c if they haven't addressed it by then, they probably never will... sigh I love SCS, they're my #1 favorite developer but Goddamn, they really need to work more on the core feature of the game. 2/2
Damn Steam's 1k character limit...
Container carriers have limited cargo availability in vanila ATS (though my mod adds more cargo to them), so that's partly why the Flatbed & Dropdeck Container Loads mod exists. Not to mention that containers can & have been hauled on flatbeds & dropdecks IRL. So it makes sense to have them available for those trailers in the game as well. Just simply adds more variety to the open-deck trailers.
Re. Livestock: Probably not. Maintaining just this cargo mod alone was more work than I anticipated & honestly, SCS should be the one to take care of their cargo availability... That's one of very few issues I have w/ SCS. They make a new ownable trailer then do jack all for cargo for them & take ages to add new cargoes...
Re. Fuel & Chemtanks: Same as Livestock.
1/2
- Added support for applicable Texas companies.
- Artificially inflated cargo availability by adding Foodtank cargo into and out of air terminals and sea ports. (I found my cargo very rarely in Texas, so this is an attempt to solve this. Please tell me if y'all feel this is too unrealistic or bloats the cargo market to much and I will revert those changes.)
- Swapped the Recycled Water (Non-Potable) and Waste Water cargoes to the Chemtanker.
Enjoy!
