The reason was that turtle shells look like helmets - and Soldier and Engie wear helmets - if you were to look at the workshop, it’s not a first submission with this idea which means that it isn’t a random object - it’s already established as a helmet.

This isn’t much different from Soldier wearing buckets, pots or Engie wrapping christmas lights around his helmet - silly but reasonable.

I think this does not fit the style of the game nor the classes intended for them, this would do better on a game like Roblox then TF2. Stop putting random items on the mercs for no apparent reason

I'd enjoy wearing this on Engineer. It also works as a fisher's bucket hat!

I think it does fit the soldier, but not the engineer. Somehow, though, I do see it fitting the sniper. It's good! Well modeled and textured, it's slightly out there but it's realistic enough.

Looks great and specifically fits the classes it’s for. Awesome! Love the idea for the turtling engineer, and I could totally imagine soldier wearing a turtle shell in one of the comics if Valve cared enough to make more.

This is really cool. I love how you've done the shell texture, and it fits pretty nicely in both the classes it was given, and doesn't need to be all-class to be nice.

I’m glad you didn’t make this all class. It fits the turtle engineer theme, and it fits soldier by resembling an army helmet.
