Those warnings mean that you have some mods installed which contain patches conflicting with Map Preview. You can still use it, but it's possible that previews will not be fully accurate.

Are you using an external translation mod? If so, I have no control over it. If such a mod is broken, contact the author of the translation and ask them to fix it.

If there is a bug in this mod directly (not some external mod) the please report it in the Bug Reports section with log file included.

I added this mod and its Chinese translation. This will result in garbled characters and the mod content will not be usable. Moreover, when generating the map, no map elements such as rivers will be generated.

My bad, I had no idea grasslands just didn't spawn geysers. When I looked this up I got no information so I assumed it was the mod, and it was not.

This mod does not modify geyser spawns. Though it's possible it could be a conflict with some other mod you have. If you can confirm that and figure out which mod it is, I can look into it.

Somehow I was able to generate a map with zero steam geysers, and I'm pretty sure this mod is to blame.

I have a great idea for an enhancement. What if you could click on a spot on one generation to indicate that's where you'd want to build your base, and then it outputs a revision with that point as the center?

You could accomplish this by actually having it generate maps at double the specified size and then trimming off excess, so even if someone clicks on one of the cornermost points, there's still enough land generated to use.

Mostly vanilla expanded and a few small QoL changes like Stack XL. I'll run a few more scenarios and see if I can duplicate the issue and if I can I'll generate you an error log and modlist (I'm a dev too so if it occurs again I know what information will be useful to provide)

I can't replicate this, steel spawns normally even after 100 rerolls for me. It could be a conflict with some specific mod you have. If so, if you can figure out which mod, I can look into it and create a compatibility patch if possible.

Rerolled a tile seed nearly 2 dozen rolls - Appears to have loaded the tile with no compacted steel anywhere that I had dug (and I lasted 2-3 years before base was wiped out from lack of steel)

Known issue? And if so, is there a fix/workaround? Compacted Machinery seemed to still spawn without issue. May have impacted adjacent hexes as well, since I was having trouble finding steel anywhere other than structures I could deconstruct

My experience says that Map Preview should be loaded after Worldbuilder to work correctly and does not interrupt log uploading.

For some reason the map reroll function doesn't always work. Sometimes just the original map is generated, and sometimes - the one I've chosen. But I cannot yet find any logic in it.

I was wondering if anyone else has trouble distinguishing ice mountains in the ice sheet preview. In my game, both the ground ice and the ice mountains appear to be white, making it impossible to tell them apart.

Looks like asteroids do not follow the same predictable generation as normal maps. I'll see if I can fix it in a future update.

All I was looking for was the ability to reroll a starting map. I wasn't ready for being able to see a ton of options and pinning the ones that I liked. This is fantastic.

One issue might be that asteroids have smaller than average maps, in addition to not scaling up or down depending on player selection when starting the game. The preview is showing asteroids with solid surfaces approximately 150 tiles wide by 230 tiles tall, but actual asteroids are around 120x150 of solid surface.

Asteroid maps on Odyssey are drastically different than what is shown in the preview. Possibly unfixable due to asteroids being drastically different from other locales :-\

Map Preview contains a compatibility patch for Better Map Sizes to make it work. The same would be necessary for any other mods that change map size during the world creation phase.

Okay, seems like Better map sizes mod works out flawlessly, now Map preview correctly renders changes in "Advanced" dialogue at map creation. Niilo's QoL implementation of altering "Advanced" tab seems to be incompatible

Might be niche issue, but Is there a way to get correct preview on custom size map when selecting starting tile for the colony?

Niilo's QoL allows setting custom size (150x450 in my case) and unfortunately map preview adapts its window only on world screen, after the colony already been generated. During initial process when starting new game window appears to be blurred. Checkmark for mod compat in settings doesn't help.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to do that at the moment, because the reroll window is only available when there is no already generated map for the tile. It might be possible if you make a backup of your save file, then abandon the colony (which removes the map from the tile), then you should be able to open the seed reroll window again.

Hey, great mod, thanks for your work ! Is there a way to find the reroll "number" of rerolled tile once you generated it ? As you said, if you take the same seed and settings for a world gen, and same location, you get the same map rerolls. I changed my modlist and would like to find the reroll number of this save so I can reroll directly to it using the built-in jump refresh feature and essentially start back from scratch on the same map.
