a great mod addon

I think the most recent update broke this chat mod along with better chat
stuck with easy chat or the default one and I am not a fan.

for those who are having issues with fonts on linux, there is a fix for this

download the fonts, and put them in the garrysmod/resource/fonts directory within the game's install. you may have to rename the fonts

but even then, quite a lot of fonts besides monospace (courier new) and comic sans just do not work and i have no clue why. even typing their names manually into the custom option does nothing

does it work for Lambda Players?

Game was causing random numbers to appear instead what I typed, I disabled this mod to see if this was what was causing it and it no longer did that afterwards. hope this gets fixed, great mod btw

ok im tweaking i didnt notice the color tag until now.. oops..

They're unnecessary, but I feel like color and size tags would be a little fun to have. I'm not sure if you're already planning on adding those or not, but I think they'd make a pretty good addition to the flairs of this chat.

I'm not sure if there are because I haven't checked, but if you have something like permissions set up for attachments/embeds, I feel that there should also be permissions for a size tag if you do ever add that. Even if you don't add these, I'd still thank you for considering them.

Sorry for the wait, but as of the latest update, you can now toggle the sidebar using the right-click menu. Thanks guys!

@MixedUpManiac , it's due to an update that makes Custom Chat check if a player has permissions to use embeds, I'll see what I can do about that

i agree with Xer0n_. the teamchat sidebar makes the chatbox look a little cluttered. i think it should be optional. apart from that, this is a pretty good addon. very clean ui, and easy to customize.

Not a fan of the new sidebar, should make that optional.. takes away from how clean the chatbox is.

as of this current update the lambda players can no longer send gifs, as the gifs can no longer embed, no matter what, as the gifs in question stay as blue links
please fix this

Sorry this one took a while, but I just added it: Typing custom_chat_enable_friend_messages 0 will disable the "friend is here" messages.

And how to toggle "Your friend is here"?

As of right now you can do that by typing custom_chat_enable_absence_messages 0 in the server console.
