A simple and customizable chat box that can format text, display images and emojis.

Features

Customizable
Has built-in emojis
Has a direct message/chat channels system
Supports text formatting (bold, italic, fonts, code blocks, etc.)
Embed image/audio files (Only loads from trusted websites by default)
Find text with Ctrl+F
Shows icons for prop models
Keeps the default "hands on ear when the chat is open" behaviour
Can be enabled/disabled at any time (Using the custom_chat_enable console variable)

I think the most recent update broke this chat mod along with better chat
stuck with easy chat or the default one and I am not a fan.

for those who are having issues with fonts on linux, there is a fix for this

download the fonts, and put them in the garrysmod/resource/fonts directory within the game's install. you may have to rename the fonts

but even then, quite a lot of fonts besides monospace (courier new) and comic sans just do not work and i have no clue why. even typing their names manually into the custom option does nothing
