Yeah but like lets say reddit, if you post art or an idea they aint gonna add it in a game but in the workshop you willingly decided to post this so the community can say what they like and dont like about it so valve can add or not add it in someday, but other websites is just for "Hey look I like this game here is my art" but the workshop is saying "Hey I like this game here is my creation" then the community and valve give their inputs on it thats what you sign up for by putting it on the workshop

You could say the same to people that post things on Reddit, Artstation, Deviantart. I just wanted to share my stuff. You didn't like it? Okay no problem, everyone has different tastes.

I made it for me because it was fun, honestly I wasn't expecting all this shit storm in the comment for something I though was funny and appropriate for the game. I still think it is. Spy playing in a casino is totally believable and i don't understand how it wouldn't be. Anyway have a nice day.

Very creative concept!

Gotta be honest, this is just getting ridiculous. The concept of a roulette wheel hat is good, but your execution is atrocious. Maybe take the hat model, change the red band around it so it becomes the numbers of the roulette wheel, and add some metal detailing on it so it contains the elements of a roulette wheel, while still looks like a hat. But instead you just put an entire roulette wheel on top of a hat.

You call this "out of ordinary" when all you did is putting an object on top of a hat. A concept a lot of recent hat used, and nobody liked those hat. I could put an ashtray on top of a spy's hat so it will have smokes coming out from the hat and call it "out of ordinary". You need to learn this concept of "subtlety" in design, man. And jigglebone physics won't be your saving grace for this terrible design

it's shockingly hard to make a well proportions fedora/tophat/bowler, a lot of creators don't get the shapes quite right and it requires a lot of fiddling around, but this is shaped perfect!

Y'know you Zesty Jesus viewers don't need to copy every point he has. Just because an item is silly doesn't automatically make it bad. I'd say this hat is pretty nice. Like seriously you just bully creators for making something below your standards of "Breaks the art style" but this genuinely works, sure gambling isn't really a big part of tf2 but compared to MUCH worse hats this actually looks good.

Yet another Cosmetic that is just plop a random prop on the mercs head that hardly works with anything if not nothing. There is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many things you could have done to show a gambler style for spy but you went the easy, unimpressive, and especially uncreative way. The last thing this game needs is yet another hat that is a generic prop. please understand that you need to do better.

For a first hat this is fantastic. I would definitely wear this on my spy.

the quality of the hat is good (especially for a first hat) its just that u arent rly gonna see alot of the details 90% of the time. if the hat itself was more designed to a casino theme like a dealer hat (making the details more visable) it would be fine. i do hope u improve in the future because theres alot of potential here

If you see this, @Papyesh, looks like I did a terrible job with the jiggle bone rig because the wheel should actually be spinning erratically on all axis.

Hmm yeah maybe, while the concept of the hat itself is open for debate, (in my opinion) I thought the quality of the hat is really good. Especially if it's his first time modeling and exporting a TF2 hat. From a technical standpoint, I think he's done everything right.

Of course a few peeps would wear it completely up to you but the zesty guy or whateves don’t be so ignorant bout it. yeah sure it doesn’t have that appropriate wear pizzazz to the game but cmon man grow up than have some child like reaction. But to you Velie Your hat is something atleast so it has potential for you to create more new content so I like the work you’ve put into it so far. congratulations on your first hat being made man I like it. concept wise, the hat is fine however the execution seems to just fall flat. the main issue i can see is that the details on the wheel will only visable at certain angles (mainly if u r above the spy) i think wat should have been done instead is have the full hat centered around a casino theme (like a dealer hat or maybe a hat styled with the colours on a roulette table like the highrollers skins), instead of slapping a full roulette wheel ontop of a standard hat. TLDR: concept is fine, execution kinda fails. i do hopeu take these critiques into account and improve on your next project

I never said you can't make a hat out of the ordinary. You named classical hats like top hats and toppers....and yet you've made another one. You could have looked at what high rollers wear to a casino. Sleek suits, maybe paisley? Different hats, sleek dark tinted glasses with golden wire frames? Maybe what professional poker players wear, like the dude you see on TV? Maybe even a dealer hat/vest for the spy? Inspiration from something even like 007 casino royale...

I've listed several options without even thinking, yet you claim to be limited by things that have been done to death. It just takes a little more thought, which I encourage you to put forth instead of slapping a disk on top of spy's head.

i actually HAVE been to casinos where people have worn hats like this. one completely obliterated me in poker using the dead man's hand and it was the most emotionally devastating moment of my life. this hat's very well made!!

Instead of thinking about what the Spy would wear to a casino, you put the casino on Spy's head. You've made a hat no one will wear unless it's unusual.
