When downloading this, I got files as .mtl and not .dmx
Did I do something wrong, or am I looking at the wrong thing?

Update: It does work on certain maps, i'm guessing that the workshop maps are either bugged or not supported. Guess i'll go work around that problem.

One issue i have at the moment is that the animation is applied, but only the first frame of it. THe model becomes frozen in place in the starting pose. It might just be a map issue though.

i've tried to directly import and that didn't work because the model got all jumbled up i'm not sure how to copy animation data or how the puppeting script goes but i'll give it a try and see if it works

Yes. Long as they share the same bone structure, you should be able to do a direct import, or copy the animation data. You can also use the puppeting script on the workshop

Currently, the only solution is to just go get the model and bring him back to Earth. You can also import the cycle to every bone EXCEPT the roottransform. That keeps the model in his place, but removes the forward motion. So unless you feel like animating the forward motion yourself, which is a pain, believe me, just go find him and bring him back.

The animation itself is the walking loop the HL2 humans use. All I did was steal the cycle and import them into the nine classes.
