Fly up high enough and try to see if you can spot any buildings you don't recall visiting
Check behind the pillar you start out on, and you'll see a unique looking structure over there
Also for anyone like me who spent over half an hour trying to find the cavern;
The 'dome' is slightly misleading (assuming you took 'dome' to mean the large dome-shaped space next to the hotel). Check instead underneath the sphere-shaped spot near the center of the map. There is a tunnel there hidden behind some trees and foliage.
I went around the entire outer perimiter looking back towards the entire floating basilisk
(after 1st trying to also ride the moving airship, felt like a dog chasing a car)
I even crossed underneath the structure looking up
and as far as GIYF, it really wasn't mine this time.
Any clues on its whereabouts, anyone?
The few climbs I saw around looked fine enough, climbing rock walls is fun, but hanging from them is very much so not ;3;
Hopefully there can be a version where you can simply teleport past those particular moments in future
I always want to show friends & family the realism and beauty of VR, but don't want to throw them in the main HL:A game, especially if they aren't into shooters. This is PERFECT!
You get it. People like yourself will sell things to lazy people like me. $5-$10 here, $2 there is going to make you a very rich person.
The map-making needs help.
In Alyx, her multi-tool is explained very well so that players become adept quickly.
At the wooden tube, it took awhile for me to understand. I would place my hand into a gap and I couldn't reach the next gap. I tried again and learned that my grip hand allows me to move where I want to be a bit more than I understood previously. This is what I mean by the map needs to have a few easy practice runs to feel more natural.
The map needs to have more clarity about the area. Perhaps a park map sign here and there, showing paths or climbs.
I was disappointed that I could not open any doors. Half-life Alyx is amazing partly because you can grab and interact with everything. Taking that away reduces my enjoyment.
The waterfalls look fake. They sound great though.

I have made a video for this here:

There were bugs that revolved around trying to move inside of an air vehicle kicked me out of it, and I was floating in space above the vehicle, or in the case of the blimp, I stayed in place and watched the blimp fly around me.
A relaxing, enjoyable romp, that I wouldn't mind seeing more of, but in movie-based genres (e.g., walking around a portion of the USS Enterprise, or the City of Gondor).
