this is just a vanilla 1.5 update, not a DLC update. No Biotech yet. Not sure if I'll do Biotech in the future or not. But one thing at a time.

Known Issues:
When using prepare carefully, the tail won't change color with the skin on character creation. But once my saves were created, returning to main menu and reloading made the tail the same color as the skin again. Not something that I think I can fix, but it doesn't really break stuff so I'm not concerned.
Wound graphics. Vanilla has wound graphics, which are obviously made for normal human pawns. I was unable to figure out how to change them or relocate them so they don't cause bloody wounds to just float off of the face. So the best solution I could manage was to find a way to disable them entirely. It's not ideal, but I at least would prefer no wound visuals at all than have a "missing eye" wound just floating at the end of their snout.

I am feeling a bit foolish, since like an hour after I made this comment, someone reached out on my tab of the HAR discord to help me. I still haven't gotten the race I'm starting with completely fixed. But progress has been made.

just in case anyone is wondering about 1.5 updates still, I don't think it's ever gonna happen. I have sorted out every red start-up error aside from one. But this one is a doozy that I just can't figure out. It keeps the races from rendering in any way. They still spawn, but they are invisible. I've been comparing the code to other mods that are updated to 1.5, but I just can't seem to find what my mistake is.

Yeah. I want to get it going again. But I just don't understand the coding aspect of 1.5 and don't have much time to figure it out any more.

Too bad to hear updating this didn't work out, was looking for good Redwall-esque races to go alongside the new Mousekin update, and this woulda been perfect!

I wanted to, but I never figured out how. After following the guide for updating, I kept getting errors and pawns refusing to spawn or have graphics. I don't really know what to do anymore :(

This one. This is what I use to disable humans and adjust the spawn rate of other races. You could use this to disable everything but moles if that is what you want to do.

And as far as a mole-only colony goes, prepare carefully would let you choose all moles. And there's a mod that lets you disable or increase the spawn of each individual race. I'm having trouble remembering the name of it right now, but I use it to convert all humans into redwall races, and make badgers less common than other races.

I have no idea what a Kofi is.

And I do intend to update ALL of my mods. Unfortunately the timing of the update was really poor for me, so it might be a little while. I tried to update one of them over the weekend, but I was having trouble figuring it out. I intend to take another shot at it this weekend.

Yup. It's "lite" because there's a full version of the races, and eventually there will be a FULL version with a bunch of content.

What would you folks think if I renamed this AA Redwall Races Lite. Then released Redwall Lite as being the full version of the races(with their updated sizes and stats). Still working on the FULL version of the mod, since there's a lot of content to make.

Part of why Redwall is going so slowly is because of clothes. I need to make sooo much clothes. The clothes from other medieval mods never seem to sit right on my races. really most clothes made for vanilla pawns don't sit right on my races because of a slight OCD of mine that has made me draw everything slightly incorrectly.

despite the image sized being in denominations of even numbers, the width of the vanilla pawns are usually an odd number, meaning that they are always 1 pixel off-center. I find this INCREDIBLY annoying and make my stuff an even number of pixels. But that does mean that clothes mods made for vanilla pawns tends to be 1 pixel off when worn by my races, so I must make my own. Sorry for the delay as a result of my weirdness.

I just stared playing with the Geological Landforms mod. And I highly recommend checking it out. It's very cool. If you can find a Caldera tile, that would be perfect for Salamandastron.

In this lite version, they don't have their own faction and are only part of the standard New Arrivals player faction. Which makes them Industrial.

In the full version there will actually be factions, some Tribal and some Medieval.

So to save some time I am mostly copying race description for the full version from the redwall wiki, with an occasional note thrown in. Otherwise I'm gonna spend ages trying to write things that really don't make any difference.

Their body shapes are indeed normal. I haven't actually played with ideology. I have not bought it, so I assumed the tattoos were just for the face. But in the code it doesn't seem to discriminate between "face" and "body". Just a yes or no for if they have tattoos. So I don't actually know if that is something I can do. I can look into that later if I get a chance.

Admittedly I haven't been working on this as much as I originally wanted to. Partially because of burnout and partially because multiple videogames I've been waiting for have come out back-to-back. So I've been playing other games during my free time. This is, after all, just a hobby and not something I get paid to do. So I just kinda do it when the mood takes me. Hopefully I'll be in a Rimworld/modding kick again soon and will plow through this and a few other things I've been meaning to do.

I understand that hesitation about that. It would certainly look weird on certain angles. What about just body tattoos for now? They appear to have fairly normal body shapes, so I suspect most tattoos would fit.

Won't tattoos designed for humans just overlay oddly on the animal faces? Like have you ever tried putting those tribal war masks on somethjng with a muzzle? It looks REALLY weird from the side

Could you make this race able to use Ideology tattoos? It would be nice to have it so sea rats, stoats, and other troublemakers show up with tattoos.

Was thinking about some of the races in the books that are just variants of other races. Like the pygmy shrews. I probably won't end uo making them, since we'd end up with 3 voles and a whole bunch of mostly identical mice. And the pygmy shrews are pretty much the same as normal shrews (appearance-wise, not in culture) but smaller. The pygmies wouldn't really even be possible, since they would be nearly invisible in the full version due to being so small.
