The claws kind of force themselves inside the other sub's hull by forcefully docking using either the top or bottom port. It's jank

So there is only one docking claw right? and it attaches to whichever docking port was activated? Im trying to make my own but im confused how it works.

mh, when i tried i couldnt even close the hatch. idk if its just possible to make the loader visible and place it somewhere where you can simply put new ammo in it.

You can retract the claw and close the hatch iirc, but you cannot reload the laser

There's no good solution that doesnt involve the laser for breaching

or is it by design that its ment to be a one way thing. i wanted too put it on in the campaign for pirate missions but if its a one way trip without the mean to "unboard" and return after successful boarding mission its a bit of a waste for this matter. in pvp no doubt very cool but not useable then in campaign pirate missions.

sorry too disturb you again, but i just tried the boarding pod out but i seem not to get how to close the hatch once it opened again. i tried with everything but the hatch once opened doesnt seem to close again.

it works now, i just changed the harsh too what it wanted and saved it in locamods folder. i hope devs fix it soon!

Yeah I don't even have the hash problem on my side, so idk what is happening.

Just drag and drop the .sub file while in sub editor (it will open it) and save it in your own folder

there is nothing you can do about it probably, we have to change it ourselfs and add it in localmods (not upload, sorry i miss written there).

i reuploaded a different sub that has the same problem and just changed the expected harsh to what it shows and now it works fine. while i wont recieve anymore updates, its a temporary solution with a little bit of effort

nvm it removes itself out of the list, so i cant use both shuttles. i have my hopes and dreams crushed by the devs now :lunar2019shockedpig:

well, can i just ignore the warning or does it actually break the sub? i can still add it into the list just fine, its just red. (btw the other shuttle that i just added is also red so maybe its general with shuttles?)

idk if it suppose to be there or if i should just ignore it but in the mod list it says "error found in content package 'Boarding pod (vanilla)'. Has calculation returned 1866DE1AC9817767C523C488427544A1, expected BD257393D3E31DE4F5EC4206CB9553AC" and the mod is marked as red.

Look at how a submarine with a shuttle does it (Kastrull) and replace its shuttle with the boarding pod

1. Enable this mod
2. Load up Kastrull
3. Remove the kastrull drone (green outline)
4. Add the boarding pod (drop down menu on top of sub editor)
5. Link it to the docking hatch

im a bit new to this game, how can I get this breaching shuttle onto a vanilla ship? is it something that can be done ingame or must I modify base game ships to have it in the editor?

Fixed the laser issue, hopefully.

For some reason the game put the condition of the laser box to 100 which allowed it to fire many many lasers

The laser ammo box is supposed to only have enough ammo for 1 or 2 shots, if it's firing more that means the box has been refilled somehow (maybe fixitems cheat)

Hello, could you help me with fine tuning this with the 1.0 update? I've been testing it out and it seems to cut completely through the boarded submarine now and I'm trying to figure out a way to tone it down to just breaching the 1st layer of shell.

Im only considering this due to the cost of replacing shuttles, otherwise I would merely shorten its length into a drop pod and be done.

When testing it, the claw undocks if I press the central button, but does not appear able to move up to neutral position after going to the down position.

By pure accident I somehow managed to make a pod that allowed you to phase through the floor once but it was too janky to exist

You can't, as far as I know, spawn new subs/shuttles in a campaign you started.
You'll have to use a sub which has this this shuttle attached. Also you will have to abandon and buy the shuttle again at the outpost since there's currently no way to replenish the laser ammo.

This mostly exists for PvP purposes where rounds are one and done
