I want to use the FSDs with AI, but my issue right now is I have to be on the ship and seated for the FSD to enable and it will shutdown if I leave the seat. Is there a way to use the FSD without being seated so I can launch AI ships across the system remotely?

Is there anyway you could increase the range that the FSD detects enemy ships? I want to pvp with my friends on a private server but the config only allows 8km which makes it easy to run away with the weapon ranges we use

When i make my base mobile and use a ship attached to it with the FSD, when i try to exit supercruise the game crash. The base also has a small grid docked with its own Suprecruise. Is this what causing the crashing?

I'm trying to use the small grid fsd but every time i try to activate the drive, it just says it cant start fsd, proximity alert. While i am in space with no asteroids or other grids in the area

They are nearly equal, but large grid got a small bonus by mass calculation.
So for heavy ships it is better to build a large fsd but you are able to fly with a small one if you do not have the space for it

Anyone have recommended balance settings for small grid FSD? I can just put a SG fsd on a large grid ship and it uses less power, is much smaller, and costs less resources.

Quick PSA. this mod is awesome, but be warned that using this with Real Solar Systems will delete all attached subgrids when entering a planet's gravity, as it jolts the ship around, these 2 mods do not work well together.

Hey was wondering if you had plans to add additional settings to the available FSD hotbar/timer options. Would really like to use this in my drones so they can get to destination using FSD at variable speeds.

FSD is not made for this actually. Problem is the voxel reload and warp line.
I tried to use speeds above 3 km/s at a planet. It looks weird and fps goes down (with an 1080Ti)

Wish I could change the max speed in gravity rather that it being forced to 3km/s no matter what. If you have a huge gas giant with a massive sphere of influence, its way too slow.

No that's not possible. You have to stay seated.

Real Solar System could work while you use this mod,
the new update have some problems by leaving the blue bubble around planets.

So are you technically moving with this mod? Like can you be in supercruise, and walk around your ship without the physics going funky? I'm using the real solar systems mod and would love if I could traverse the large system like this but still being able to walk around.

Before the prototech update the max speed i could set was 2000km/s, now it caps out at 100km/s. Does anyone know why, and how to fix this?

@Gannicus, you need storaged power. So you need more batteries. Putting more reactors only helps you with charging speed.

How do you power the drive? No matter how many reactors I put on the ship, it says not enough power.

We use it in the opposite way; a regular jump drive uses a frameshift drive, and Factorum is a regular jump drive. It is possible, but not yet implemented. I could check how to make that optional.

The gravity feature is still a work in progress. You have the same idea as specter. Please give me some time to make the changes on the development branch. We also have a Discord server for daily news and updates listed on the development branch mod Steam site.

Wondering if it's possible to have a disable and replace vanilla jump drives option?
I'd like to be able to disable the vanilla system and have factorum encounters reward a FSD instead when applicable.
Also, I would personally love it if instead of being totally disabled in gravity, the power requirement would just increase with gravity value. Potentially exponentially with power requirement approaching infinite at 1g or something like that.

There is a way to do it. I created some interdiction spaces where you cannot start a warp or stop FSD. However, this is hardcoded at the moment and may be on the to-do list for a future updated version.

I have a question. Is there a way to make an "Inhinibitor" or "Interdictor" that would effectively FORCE an FSD to shut down within a certain radius? It would work basically the same way a Gravity Well does in that it just tells the FSD to stop.
