Good day is there an allowed version of better bots or improved bots or yours for normal server?

I think old users can move on to Firewatch/Snezhinka's fix of the mod. He has sent me the codes but I haven't look through it nor overwritten my mod files (there are dozens of files so doing that requires quite some time). Also I think it is more convenient to just use his mod in case he needs to make small changes.

They really should have fixed "aim-bot". Unfortunately the mod is dead.

Hey, I just experienced several crashes.Disabling this mod seems to solve the problem.
System: [Different Bots] [ERROR] (hook): trying to hook function or method that doesn't exist: [Area Damage Extension.start]
System: Replicant Bots 8 May 2023 Enabled.

@VermonKun I love the bots but they are a tad OP at range. Here is a relatively simple solution to fix it. Add 2 settings called:

Force % of shots to miss the head
Force % of shots to miss completely
By special type

This would allow me to tweak their accuracy vs specific specials. For example I could force 50% of their shots against assassins to miss. Or 30% of their shots against blightstormers to miss the head. This way I can simulate the aim of a player within a particular skill bracket.

Most legend players can probably hit a leech with 80%+ accuracy, but fast moving assassins should not be refunding so many bullets via conservative shooter.

To everyone who says this mod is dead cuz necromancer, you are possibly incorrect. the skeletons follow orders, thus they are as good as you are-and they fall over when you are captured, meaning they can't prioritize rescuing in the first place. Now, if this guy is trying to make it so that the bots do the same, i'd understand, because the skellies can CLIMB as apposed to having ranged options, so it would get the bots out of bounds if it was just copy/pasted. Idea to get around it would be make it so that the skellies can throw a rib like a bardin axe instead of climb, then copy/paste--or the helmet, or just the skull for the lols

Hey, I just experienced several crashes during launch (modded & unmodded realm) that were related to Easy Anti Cheat. Disabling this mod seems to solve the problem.

This line in the console log made me curious:

There must be different bot AI based on your computer or setup or something, because I've never had all the issues people continuously complain about, like losing to a boss. I can literally leave my keyboard on a Legend boss and the vanilla bots deal with it

mod's likely dead due to Necromancer, which would be a whole lot of coding effort if I'd had to hazard a guess due to how different she works from the rest. which is a shame. have pretty much stopped playing since I mainly play solo and I can't bring myself to go back to the stock bots. might as well play something else.

Well, the github source codes have been updated, and I am in the mood of starting a mod fixing marathon to fix this mod along with all my other mods. However I have something to do in real life so that will have to wait after 1st week of December.

Hi VernonKun,any plans to update this mod for the latest patch? after playing with your mod I can't go back to playing with 'dumb' bots. its just not the same.

Unfortunately, I cannot play without even a formal reward in Modded Realm. One process is not enough. I can't stand the complete waste of time. Progress (i.e. grind) is needed.
Anyway state of the bots in Vermintide — is an eternal shame on Fatshark's head! They are so crazy in their forced socialization that they are not able to copy 50kb of necessary fixes for bots.
Now the bots in VT2 are worse than at the start, it’s hard to believe it! The worst bug are: crazy running/paralysis of bots due to Ammo Box nearby (Patch 3.3 problem).

You are right about the modded realm being inconvenient for lfg but that does not apply to me since i play solo ^^ I tried playing with players in both realms through public lobbies and on many different discord servers but in my experience the bots were always better than human players so i stopped playing with everyone.

Thanks. I am not the one that worry about sanctioning. Anyway, modded realm with all the unlock mods is just a way to skip all the grinds and reach the end game where you can try all the fun builds. Probably the only inconvenient part of it is that in-game match-making doesn't quite work and players have to rely on LFG on discord etc.

Dont worry if your mod is never sanctioned VernonKun. When all the hotfixes are done and then this mod is updated by you thats good enough for the majority of us who are forced to play with bots for one reason or another, I would rather use this mod on the modded realm because the other option is quitting the game forever due to no bot mods which i dont want to do.

From what I know, even that simpler mod is having trouble getting resanctioned after each update and that was what causes the author to spend less effort on modding. Quite sure my mod doesn't have any chance to be sanctioned, not to mention Fatshark already stopped all new mod sanctioning processes.

Any word/chance of this getting approved? The latest patch has made the vanilla bots worse (didn't realize that was possible) while simultaneously making it incompatible with Bot Improvements causing it to get unsanctioned. Sadly that mod seems abandoned so hope for it getting updated and re-approved is probably only slightly less impossible than FS actually fixing the vanilla bots.

Help us VernonKun Kenobi, you're our only hope.

I will start fixing some mods soon, but likely some Fatshark hotfixes later might mess things up again, so don't expect to get fully functional mods until then. Also I am working on the breakpoint spreadsheets.
