@Onyx Smith One more thing, the guide is finally finished. https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2640428469
There's a good chance I missed something, but it beats the 2 paragraphs I left in the comments.

@Onyx Smith Did you import your world into blender using Mineways or JMC? You want to avoid using mineways and prepping the materials.

I am a complete beginner to Blender and UE4, but i got as far as importing my .fbx file into UE4.
It remains textureless for some reason any guess as to why?
Thanks for the help you'r a legend! :praisesun:

@PINOU Ohhh gotcha. That's unfortunate. Good thing the map is fun. Lighting has always been a big thing for me, I apologize if what I said came off rude.
PINOU  [author] 18 Feb, 2022 @ 3:14pm
@PennySaver No, there is not. Attempting to rebuild the lighting will cause everything to become pitch black.
PennySaver 17 Feb, 2022 @ 4:34am
Is there anyway to update the lighting?

this is blowing my mind i will definitely be trying this in the future! looking forward to you'r tutorial!

@Onyx Smith Porting a map doesn't usually take that long, I will begin working on the guide I said I would make so that porting it is as straightforward as possible.
After the guide is (hopefully) finished, just ask me any questions and I'll try and get to them as soon as possible

The map is sick you did a great job with the gun placements!
@PINOU If i make a sufficiently good map of my own in minecraft would you be down to port it?
i'm curious how much work it is, worst that can happen is that i port it myself with your tutorials.

for me its a neat map though isnt perfectly made, like theres 3 main spots (mountain, tower, white building) and some other stuff, so it kinda always turns into a sniping fest. Still good tho imo though not great design I reckon

PINOU  [author] 11 Oct, 2021 @ 9:24am

Thank you so much! This really helps! Have a great day!
PINOU  [author] 11 Oct, 2021 @ 12:53am
@LilPat You may have to do a lot of troubleshooting though, I also forgot to ping you like this, assuming it even works

Thanks glad you like it... I will soon make a guide on how to port Minecraft maps into UE4, however I'll try to describe it brief here. https://youtu.be/62fVXVAO13A Download Blender and then follow this guide, up to Ep. 5, ignoring the steps that involve the program mineways and preparing the materials and the world. Once you open the JMC OBJ file in blender... change the viewport shading mode to material mode. You then want to parent an object so your map is one big mesh, with exception of Glass and water perhaps. Oh and 2D image textures like grass and flowers will look bad, I took them out of my map for the most part.
PINOU  [author] 11 Oct, 2021 @ 12:46am
Part 2: Then you export the file as an fbx file. https://youtu.be/tv1Oof5MoQA Follow this video and the wiki since the video is somewhat outdated http://wiki.pavlov-vr.com/index.php?title=Getting_Started . Once you import your materials they should look blurry. You can edit the material under the advanced settings to change filtering from the default to nearest. That will fix the blur. After that you may have to do some messing around to figure out stuff, but I'll go into more detail like I said in a guide in the future.
