In theory this should work with no issues. The way the code is written it was pretty much future proofed unless they specifically changed any tags or ways the nobility titles are written.
This touches only the titles in the code, as well as the requirements attached where nobles need certain room requirements etc.
If they updated the Royalty DLC and added new permits, those will not be visible with this mod, since you have to manually edit and change the code to add permits which is an extreme pain on a x and y axis coordinate system, which has to be done manually.
I have not touched the game in a while, so am unaware if Royalty got any updates, but even if it did, it should work.
Ah I see, yeah I was curious as I figured this mod was fairly stable when it came to updates from the game, and should for the most part be future proof and continue to work unless some sort of large change is implemented in an update to the game.
As far as the update. I had planned on a new update to the mod but did not end up completing it. All of it is in the docs stage, and none of it is coded. I probably wont be making new additions anytime soon, but its possible.
Also, I saw the new DLC, it looks awesome btw :D!
I will report about any issues if i will find them
However, maybe you should give a try to new dlcs and rimworld, it's pretty fun)
Sorry, I have not played the game in a while.. :o, is the mod broken in anyway? Unless they changed some game tags / I think this should still work. I haven't opened it up myself in a while, but if its broken I would be willing to make an attempt to get some time to fix it :)!
Yeah, as Canon said, you really shouldn't remove mods mid-playthrough or things can certainly break. In this case, its weird that it broke considering you disabled it. Best next time would be to unsubscribe, or also go to the steamapps/workshop folder and delete the mod files directly.
Glad it worked out though, gl and have fun with the game :D!
Not compatible with other mods that affect permits or royal titles
I wouldn't know. Don't play the game currently and not sure what mod your referring to. I think however its pretty clear what this mod does with the description
Works for both 1.4 and 1.3, you can disregard the error msg :O
The mod has been updated to 1.4 :)
However, nothing in the mod has changed, nor has any of the code changed. It was compatible beforehand, but i've went ahead and fixed it so it doesn't show up as incompatible :P.
Also, as some people don't know about the other versions of the mod, I highly reccomend checking out the other versions with more titles :P.
Side-note: I will soon be coming back to rimworld (just noticed the new DLC !!) and will ofc be upgrading this mod with more stuff as I get back into the game :).
Well hey im glad you solved the problem you had! :D
Thanks for the kind words! I hope you enjoy and good luck with your playthrough :D!!
I found a problem on my side and fix it. (Don't ask me what was it, too much to explain))
Thanks again for your awesome mod!
Thank you :D, I'm glad you enjoy it!
You can swap to the easy version no problem by the way. Just unsubscribe or turn off this mod, turn on the easy version, then load up your save.
You will potentially have to wait maybe a day to get your new quests for any eligible colonists that have enough points to rank up. :]
I would advise you to use the easy version of the mod!
Which is available in the mod description under "other versions"
or here for you:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2620631097
(Also, I would recommend my nobility enhanced version instead. Since I like that one better :).
Unfortunatly, even ater 10 game years i earned only 132 points(i was trying to complete almost all empire quests ). I started to think that it's impossible to reach 475 points, and more then that, now i didn't received any missions for 2 years already. I don't know what i can do now. No quests wich can give me so much points and i dont see any possibility to do something else. can you advise me anything?
Thanks!
<3 ty! :)
@TurtleShroom
Well, you always could just not rank up beyond that of Duke if you want :o.
I guess not using the mod would be an option to.. but then you lose out on the permits side of the mod, is that more or less what your aiming after, just the permits?
As well as for all the ranks to properly show up in-game, and for you to get quests etc. from the new added ranks.
Super excited, I stopped playing rimworld cause I couldn't play until I had the royalty just the way I liked it, and I kept adding more and more until I was satisfied xd!!
Royals deserve a paycheck, don't you think? Well.. maybe not a paycheck but rather their title and status is deserving of kickback through grapevines.
in short, the new version will have (starting at Praefect with military pay) kickback, costing only 1 permit point, an ability to get paid once every year based on your rank/title.
Honestly, it's a bit op wayy down the line with the higher ranking nobility titles, but it's expensive to get to those ranks in the first place :O!
Royal + Nobility Enhanced
Pretty soon, later today maybe, tomorrow at the latest. It will be it's own mod, but I will also link to it in the description of this version of Royal +
I will also be re-doing the description of the mods to look a bit better, more sleek with better information attached. As well as a way to get to each version of the mod easily to choose what best suits what your looking for.
Till then :D!
Oh :D! Yeah, im still working on the policy mod for stellaris.. I uh.. :P
Yeah, i'll be adding my own new titles to royalty. I show a sneak peak of it in the discussions on this mod here, under "Peak at Royal + Nobility Enhanced".
Same style as the policy mod, im a psycho and go overboard so :)
(I will probably also add an easier version that costs less favor/honor points for each title as well, for those that want things to be a bit more obtainable. but same as was the original plan for this mod, I will be mostly focused around the balance and development of the harder version.)
Are you gonna addd your own?
Hmm, I can't say that I agree. I feel like they are about right for the titles available in this version of the mod.
However, if you go to your Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2620599138
You will find this mod's files. Very easily if you open the defs folder, go into royal titles, then open up RoyalTitles_Empire.xml, You can change the favor cost for each title manually.
Just change the number inside <favorCost>5</favorCost> (freeholder for example)
Sorry I cannot offer something better like changing the mod itself, since our views disagree :p. But hey I totally get it and understand. We all have different opinions!
You know, it would be really cool/better if I was good enough to add in a way to change the costs yourself from within the mod settings like other mods sometimes have. Maybe one day when im good enough :P.
but overall prety good mod!
Unfortunately not.
This has to do with how the UI works.
Basically the options of permits would overlap with one another.
Whichever mod gets loaded last, would have some of it's permits on top of other permits.
Would need to be patched.
