got it, thanks again for making this,
SeanMungo  [author] 20 Jun @ 4:00am
@bumrum
In theory this should work with no issues. The way the code is written it was pretty much future proofed unless they specifically changed any tags or ways the nobility titles are written.

This touches only the titles in the code, as well as the requirements attached where nobles need certain room requirements etc.

If they updated the Royalty DLC and added new permits, those will not be visible with this mod, since you have to manually edit and change the code to add permits which is an extreme pain on a x and y axis coordinate system, which has to be done manually.

I have not touched the game in a while, so am unaware if Royalty got any updates, but even if it did, it should work.
bumrum 18 Jun @ 3:43pm
... this still work anyone know?
Zargachi 19 Apr @ 5:56am
will receive a 1.5 update?
SeanMungo  [author] 16 Apr, 2024 @ 3:01pm
@Black Heaven
Ah I see, yeah I was curious as I figured this mod was fairly stable when it came to updates from the game, and should for the most part be future proof and continue to work unless some sort of large change is implemented in an update to the game.

As far as the update. I had planned on a new update to the mod but did not end up completing it. All of it is in the docs stage, and none of it is coded. I probably wont be making new additions anytime soon, but its possible.

Also, I saw the new DLC, it looks awesome btw :D!
Black Heaven 16 Apr, 2024 @ 1:14am
@SeanMungo, i m playing with your mod right now and i can't say about any issues, but i will fully testing it only in future. The reason why i asked you about update - because i don't know anything about coding and i was thinking that it needed after any update, not just because of willingness to bother you.
I will report about any issues if i will find them
However, maybe you should give a try to new dlcs and rimworld, it's pretty fun):coffeeTLD:

@Black Heaven
Sorry, I have not played the game in a while.. :o, is the mod broken in anyway? Unless they changed some game tags / I think this should still work. I haven't opened it up myself in a while, but if its broken I would be willing to make an attempt to get some time to fix it :)!
SeanMungo  [author] 15 Apr, 2024 @ 6:33pm
@Eileen The Crow
Yeah, as Canon said, you really shouldn't remove mods mid-playthrough or things can certainly break. In this case, its weird that it broke considering you disabled it. Best next time would be to unsubscribe, or also go to the steamapps/workshop folder and delete the mod files directly.

Glad it worked out though, gl and have fun with the game :D!
Black Heaven 11 Apr, 2024 @ 10:32am
The best mod for imperial player needs your care, dear Mungo
Eileen The Crow 4 Oct, 2023 @ 9:42pm
Okay I fixed it, I had to delete the entire appdata folder
Eileen The Crow 4 Oct, 2023 @ 9:13pm
I have since deleted every folder related to Rimworld, uninstalled the game, and started from a fresh install on a fresh save and Yeomen still have 8 permit points.
Eileen The Crow 3 Oct, 2023 @ 11:01pm
No like I disabled this mod and have a new save and the Yeomen are still being given permit points
Canon 3 Oct, 2023 @ 6:20pm
Debug remove the title and re grant it I guess, but you're just asking for trouble down the line by removing mods mid game
Eileen The Crow 3 Oct, 2023 @ 5:27pm
I disabled this mod and my Yeomen are still being given Permit points. How do I fix this?
SeanMungo  [author] 21 Mar, 2023 @ 9:43am
@Boiling Man
Not compatible with other mods that affect permits or royal titles
Boiling Man 21 Mar, 2023 @ 1:28am
it aint working correctly vanilla expanded royalty mod permits overlap which results in incorrect costs and wrong permit
SeanMungo  [author] 1 Mar, 2023 @ 7:32pm
@Lethice
I wouldn't know. Don't play the game currently and not sure what mod your referring to. I think however its pretty clear what this mod does with the description
Lethice 28 Feb, 2023 @ 5:43am
So how does this interact with the new vanilla expanded royalty mod?
A V.O.I.D Representative 17 Jan, 2023 @ 11:20am
May i just say. This is a needed
Canon 19 Nov, 2022 @ 7:33pm
The tags in about.xml is a list, so you can put both 1.3 and 1.4 so they don't get the error
SeanMungo  [author] 19 Nov, 2022 @ 2:45pm
@Adjodiebernal
Works for both 1.4 and 1.3, you can disregard the error msg :O
Heerser 19 Nov, 2022 @ 9:18am
I'm playing on 1.3 and I get an error message saying it's only for 1.4
Black Heaven 30 Oct, 2022 @ 1:32am
thanks you soo much!
:Hire:
SeanMungo  [author] 29 Oct, 2022 @ 10:14pm
@Black Heaven
The mod has been updated to 1.4 :)
However, nothing in the mod has changed, nor has any of the code changed. It was compatible beforehand, but i've went ahead and fixed it so it doesn't show up as incompatible :P.

Also, as some people don't know about the other versions of the mod, I highly reccomend checking out the other versions with more titles :P.

Side-note: I will soon be coming back to rimworld (just noticed the new DLC !!) and will ofc be upgrading this mod with more stuff as I get back into the game :).
Black Heaven 21 Oct, 2022 @ 11:26pm
Hello, will you update this awesome mod for 1.4?
SeanMungo  [author] 12 Dec, 2021 @ 5:29am
@Black Heaven
Well hey im glad you solved the problem you had! :D
Thanks for the kind words! I hope you enjoy and good luck with your playthrough :D!!
Black Heaven 12 Dec, 2021 @ 5:14am
@SeanMungo
I found a problem on my side and fix it. (Don't ask me what was it, too much to explain))
Thanks again for your awesome mod!
SeanMungo  [author] 1 Dec, 2021 @ 5:44pm
@플레인요거트

Thank you :D, I'm glad you enjoy it!
Kowalski,Report 30 Nov, 2021 @ 10:20pm
thanks to u, the game has become more fun XD:steamthumbsup:
SeanMungo  [author] 30 Nov, 2021 @ 1:26pm
@Black Heaven

You can swap to the easy version no problem by the way. Just unsubscribe or turn off this mod, turn on the easy version, then load up your save.

You will potentially have to wait maybe a day to get your new quests for any eligible colonists that have enough points to rank up. :]
SeanMungo  [author] 30 Nov, 2021 @ 1:24pm
@Black Heaven

I would advise you to use the easy version of the mod!
Which is available in the mod description under "other versions"

or here for you:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2620631097

(Also, I would recommend my nobility enhanced version instead. Since I like that one better :).
Black Heaven 30 Nov, 2021 @ 12:27pm
Hello Sean! Thanks you for that awesome mod! I m sure that vanilla cost was too smal and it was possbile to end the game in a few years from start.
Unfortunatly, even ater 10 game years i earned only 132 points(i was trying to complete almost all empire quests ). I started to think that it's impossible to reach 475 points, and more then that, now i didn't received any missions for 2 years already. I don't know what i can do now. No quests wich can give me so much points and i dont see any possibility to do something else. can you advise me anything?
Thanks!
SeanMungo  [author] 14 Oct, 2021 @ 4:12pm
@Cirdain
<3 ty! :)

@TurtleShroom
Well, you always could just not rank up beyond that of Duke if you want :o.
I guess not using the mod would be an option to.. but then you lose out on the permits side of the mod, is that more or less what your aiming after, just the permits?
Cirdain 14 Oct, 2021 @ 8:28am
Their mod, they can make it how they want to.
TurtleShroom 14 Oct, 2021 @ 8:27am
It makes no sense that you would be able to exceed the rank of Duke. Beyond that, there is only one occupant of each title. Duke should be the stopping point.
SeanMungo  [author] 13 Oct, 2021 @ 4:10am
Will post tomorrow, just have to do a couple more things which involves making it so solider can spawn as proper title, laborers will actually have a rank, normally they just spawn as nobodies, but i'd like them to spawn as plebians/commoners etc. that sort of stuff.

As well as for all the ranks to properly show up in-game, and for you to get quests etc. from the new added ranks.

Super excited, I stopped playing rimworld cause I couldn't play until I had the royalty just the way I liked it, and I kept adding more and more until I was satisfied xd!!
SeanMungo  [author] 13 Oct, 2021 @ 4:10am
Almost finished Royal+ Nobility Enhanced :D, just got finished with the permit changes + new kickback permits.

Royals deserve a paycheck, don't you think? Well.. maybe not a paycheck but rather their title and status is deserving of kickback through grapevines.

in short, the new version will have (starting at Praefect with military pay) kickback, costing only 1 permit point, an ability to get paid once every year based on your rank/title.

Honestly, it's a bit op wayy down the line with the higher ranking nobility titles, but it's expensive to get to those ranks in the first place :O!
SeanMungo  [author] 12 Oct, 2021 @ 8:06pm
Will be dropping
Royal + Nobility Enhanced

Pretty soon, later today maybe, tomorrow at the latest. It will be it's own mod, but I will also link to it in the description of this version of Royal +

I will also be re-doing the description of the mods to look a bit better, more sleek with better information attached. As well as a way to get to each version of the mod easily to choose what best suits what your looking for.

Till then :D!
SeanMungo  [author] 12 Oct, 2021 @ 2:11am
@Canon
Oh :D! Yeah, im still working on the policy mod for stellaris.. I uh.. :P

Yeah, i'll be adding my own new titles to royalty. I show a sneak peak of it in the discussions on this mod here, under "Peak at Royal + Nobility Enhanced".

Same style as the policy mod, im a psycho and go overboard so :)

(I will probably also add an easier version that costs less favor/honor points for each title as well, for those that want things to be a bit more obtainable. but same as was the original plan for this mod, I will be mostly focused around the balance and development of the harder version.)
Canon 12 Oct, 2021 @ 12:53am
also yea I knew your stellaris mods lol
Canon 12 Oct, 2021 @ 12:53am
So what's with the (Vanilla Titles)
Are you gonna addd your own?
SeanMungo  [author] 11 Oct, 2021 @ 4:36pm
(P.S. oh and ofc, if the mod get's updated, the changes you make will obviously have to be re-done, sorta just the way it is since it would get overwritten, sorry!)
SeanMungo  [author] 11 Oct, 2021 @ 4:34pm
@DEMIRKARINCA
Hmm, I can't say that I agree. I feel like they are about right for the titles available in this version of the mod.

However, if you go to your Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2620599138
You will find this mod's files. Very easily if you open the defs folder, go into royal titles, then open up RoyalTitles_Empire.xml, You can change the favor cost for each title manually.

Just change the number inside <favorCost>5</favorCost> (freeholder for example)

Sorry I cannot offer something better like changing the mod itself, since our views disagree :p. But hey I totally get it and understand. We all have different opinions!

You know, it would be really cool/better if I was good enough to add in a way to change the costs yourself from within the mod settings like other mods sometimes have. Maybe one day when im good enough :P.
DEMIRKARINCA 11 Oct, 2021 @ 10:24am
every title until at least knight should be cheper...
but overall prety good mod!:steamthumbsup:
Cirdain 10 Oct, 2021 @ 9:34pm
Hey, thanks for the instrument change! Harpsichords for everyone!
SeanMungo  [author] 10 Oct, 2021 @ 8:56pm
Thanks for the idea, as well as pointing out that mod, I actually never saw that one before! If I end up starting a new run, ill take a look at doing that :D!
KhanKanin 10 Oct, 2021 @ 8:21pm
Oh yeah, I also used to start Rimworld with the same character but with reunion I can guarantee that any number of characters I made with prepare carefully can show up randomly in each run. So I swap between like 3 characters I always have start solo and see how their stories pan out. Definitely give it a shot if you're interested in that sort of thing.
SeanMungo  [author] 10 Oct, 2021 @ 7:25pm
@haeunryu29

Unfortunately not.
This has to do with how the UI works.
Basically the options of permits would overlap with one another.
Whichever mod gets loaded last, would have some of it's permits on top of other permits.

Would need to be patched.
almondsrock 10 Oct, 2021 @ 7:04pm
This sounds dope af! Just a quick question: is it compatible with Royal Arsenal - Extra Permits? (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2571837731)
SeanMungo  [author] 10 Oct, 2021 @ 4:01pm
OoO, I never really thought of doing that :O! I honestly just use the same starter character each time xD. Im a super casual player too and hate to lose my pawns xd
