Report a translation problem
I've also got a "semi-inhabited" map, with only the bigger old town house blocks, and no village houses whatsoever. If there's any interest, I'll upload it separately.
I look forward trying this wonderfull map again.
At least the issue is transient, and it's possible to work around it in most cases.
1. Turn on the grid and snap to it.
2. Build the road diagonally (the length of one tile on the grid is 14m).
3. Continue building the road to the already built road diagonally again.
4. After an indefinite length, the road will break and curve. It happens with roads, sidewalks, pipes, electrical cables.
5. It doesn't happen immediately, you may have to try it several times.
I wrote to support, they wrote back to me that the bug is not on the default maps and they will not solve it.

You're still welcome to make a derivative from this mod, as well as most of my other mods, as long as you follow the terms of the license indicated at the bottom of the mod description. I upload the raw mod files to the Internet Archive, information about which is also in the mod description.
@ Delle(DK) Sorry that it took this long.
I intend to update this mod once the details are fully settled by 3Division -- it's very tedious to rework mods when new stuff is added to the game, and the only worse thing is having to do it over and over!

To solve the problem of the distance between pipelines being too great, I'd suggest using @ Олег Монолит 's Two Mini Pumps mod -- these pumps do not require a road connection, so you can (fairly) easily build them in land-reclaimed areas in the oil fields.
As for the distance between the southeast island and the main island: the intention was to force ship or (complex) bridge transport, as an interesting problem for the player to solve.
I really like that I am forced to use ships and planes to export/import things
- I dont know if this is a design thing, but there is often almost no wind 2-7m/s is the most common and windmills really first work okay above 8m/s. I build them near the ocean in the oil area
- And in the area with oil inbetween islands its not possible to build example underwater oil pipes from the mainland to the island in the south east due to the distance being to big. And pipes above water also is not possible.
I tried to build some small islands on the shallow places but failed.. Maybe i did not try enough but it would just be nice if we could build infrastructure that could pass inbetween the mainland and south east island. I am aware bridges can be build so if i cant build an oil pipelines i can always have trains move stuff via a bridge instead.
