@Bodacious Cowboy Not sure about the broader issue since AM is a complex mod with code, but at first glance both mods are overwriting the same weapons thingDef with their own stuff, they are in that sense trying to do the same to the same items, and whichever mod is loaded lower in the list is going to win. Try placing alpha memes below this one and see what happens.

Anyone know how to get this and Alpha Memes working together? Currently having them both installed stops me from styling weapons with the Alpha Meme textures. Even ones that aren't added by this mod.

Its a retexture mod. Its never going to stop working unless the vanilla texture paths change. It will probably never outright break anything even if they do.

I do agree its quite a shame they never worked on any other styles, though. This is still probably the best style retexture and expansion I've seen, and not a lot of people work on those at all that I've seen. Alpha Memes expands most / all of them, but... I really don't like most of them.

It works fine. Just update mod file manually to 1.5 it annoys you to see it considered incompatible.

This mod still works perfectly well in 1.4. If you are annoyed by the version warning, just right-click it and go into the mod folder, open the 'About.txt', and change version to 1.4.

This is a very well done mod. Has the author done others? It's hard to find.

@Fahrräder this is just a bizarre take... European cultures are full of bedposts, chairs, and rulers' armor carved into the form of a lion's head. Virtually every Native American object from spoons to shields to canoe paddles can be found in animal form, from the Haida to the Inca. Now maybe those cultures don't "venerate" animals in the Rimworldian sense of "refuse to harm" but their gods are literally animals.

Works in 1.4 due to being a texture mod. Very glad, it's amazing. If the author sees this comment, thanks for making this, it's been a favorite of mine since I first found it. This is the level of detail that ideo styles SHOULD have!

Just when I thought I was out, Rimworld has sucked me back in after six months clean. This is one of my favourite mods and I really hoped Hen had made some more styles. Still loving this and hoping there will be more.

I love it! One of the more interesting things with ideoligions is that they customize your colony a bit. Making it not only easy to recognize your own colonist from foes during a siege but also bringing a nice little addition to the whole roleplaying aspect. I hope to see more styles being added.

Now, about the style, neither India nor Ancient Egypt nor anyone else that comes to mind venerating animals openly decorate their objects with animalistic themes. Of course, there is religious iconography, and people wore masks that resemble animal heads, but none of them put cat paws on everything :) I think vanilla Ideology went with ears on hats because it was an easy solution to help distinguish more elements, but it was left much more neutral and universal to more options of animalism. Here, that neutrality is heavily swayed to the open veneration of specific animals. What I'm satisfied with, are abstract elements of various animals, a silhouette, but when that silhouette takes an outline and a visible shape, it's not neutral anymore.

@Baywatch I agree with your viewpoint! There are so many more civilizations and societies that attribute an element of divinity to animals. I recognize I may have worded "surviving off animals" improperly, I meant "living in accordance with nature", aka primalism. Imagine a wild man living with wolves as brothers. Obviously, there aren't many surviving societies with this belief nowadays. And I hope you can see the reminiscence to primalism in the parka or the tribal outfits here.

Personally, I always saw the animalist style as being exactly what is shown here. Veneration of nature, specifically animals I think the vanilla version of it does a good job at getting that point across. Tons of real world examples to draw inspiration from and you can easily recreate this in game. Simply surviving off of animals is hardly something unique enough to warrant its own visual style. Just my two cents.

Looking forward to seeing the morbid style if it's still in the works.
