Thanks for testing.
I also like doing things in mid-flight (as long as I can try over and over!) but I confess I didn't think I could accomplish the cube toss. I'm pretty bad at that even when I'm standing still. That's why I thought it was an exploit when I pulled it off.
At my first try, I 've bring sphere into middle room, used blue gel on it and thrown it into the glass bridge.. But tell your blue-sphere to stay quiet into that button! :(
If you can have a look and a feedback to one of my maps.. (Franken to the rescue, Cycle or a coop one), that would be nice!
This was a challenge for me at first. I could see what needed to be done, but I could NOT figure out how to do it. The cube flinging was a nice touch. I still can't figure out how you made the panel shut when I walked into the chamber on the right--is that a Hammer thing? In any case, once I figured it out, everything fell into place. Very satisfying!
Anytime you install or reinstall the Beemod always run your (Puzzle Maker Style Changer) first then click (Clean) style and ok, and open portal 2!
Launch your puzzlemaker and run the map and you'll se the reflection gel works in the puzzlemaker map, then you should be good to go then you can
chang the styles anytime you want or use Bee2 alpha application.
If you don't know where it is, look for it in portal 2 main directory and you'll find it there.
What I did to solved, was put the cube on the grating at the goo already having my bounce gel in place in front of the cube button, and the acceleration gel behind the cube button, then I ran jump over the cube button onto the bounce gel and grab the solid cube to fling myself over to the exit!
@Kizzycocoa Thanks for your candor and I appreciate your observations.
I also did the cube flinging. I personally do not like doing it. I won't deny, it worked smoothly, but I prefer to not have random chance play into the maps.
I had a lot of fiddly issues with the end, to. I decided to reenable the bounce gel before I went, but realised I neede the cube. I repositioned it to the opening of the backup door, and realised there was a fizzler. so then I realised I could jump with the cube. personally, I think that should be refined down. that's not figuring stuff out, that's just adding hurdles, and while both seem similar, it's these ones, the ones that promote the "I'm stupid" feel over the "oh THAT'S how", which should be avoided.
overall, once I found out how to start, a very nice puzzle. my only gripes were the cube tossing and what you needed to do to get the cube across, with no other options
What do :u
@Fatso How can that be done?
Took me a bit to realize I needed to side-throw the cube, but I felt pretty awesome when I did. :) I did what I think was the intended solution, using all the different elements to the puzzle, but I did find a shortcut. You can skip the Propulsion gel/sphere/faith plate by flinging to get to the button for the cube, activating the Repulsion gel, then flinging onto the gel with the cube. The fling is a little tricky, having to go around the cube button, but it is possible. Other than that, nice and fun test.
