If anyone is interested in another take I have now posted a Pallas Mk2 which was rebuilt entirely for RE2.
Not the prettiest but it has worked well for me so far. Just make sure to stay away from warships and outposts, they really pack a punch in RE2.
One thing I did in a previous playthrough was that when I removed the large drills I stuffed a full-sized advanced shield gen in the left side and capped it off with blocks, and placed all 8 laser drills in the right side. This let me remove the compact shield generator which made room for another CPU block and another large generator. At that point you can start adding more turrets on top of the solar panels if you want. But ultimately she's a digger, not a fighter. If you see something you want to shoot, best to go home and come back with a dedicated combat vessel.
CV solar panels in Reforged aren't real solar panels. They used to be, but were buggy and started deleting chunks of ships on servers. These new "mobile" panels are basically just plates with a negative power draw, so each panel passively reduces your power consumption. They can't charge capacitors, but they also don't need to be pointed at the sun. They basically give you just enough passive power generation to idle your ship to keep the fridge on while you're offline.
There is another capacitor relay next to the large constructor that can also be removed and used as an upgrade spot.
I'll take a look tonight and see if I have any other suggestions.
If space is needed I'd like to know how to best reduce the 2nd harvest controller from 200K as I can't see a use on a ship like this for a 2nd controller of 200k at this time.
I didn't use visible letter and symbol upgrade markers on this build, so hopefully the pictures will make things clearer as to my recommended upgrade path. As always, though, she's your ship: do as you please.
