no 1.6 edition
multiplayer_rocks 28 Aug @ 4:42am
Looks like steam is doing the "not loading current version" thing compared to the github version. (missing the 1.6). I see this a lot on some mods. Unsub/resub doesn't work for me.I'll grab from github for now. Thx.
雾雨 28 Aug @ 4:38am
Pawn characters still gain the narrow room buff when entering a "wide room":lunar2019crylaughingpig:
雾雨 28 Aug @ 4:20am
It successfully changed the text description in non-English environments, but still did not change the room Impressiveness. In testing Wealth Beauty Cleanliness values are exactly the same. The only variables are Space.
This mod it looks like only changes spaces calculated, it does not change room Impressiveness calculated.
Clairelenia 28 Aug @ 2:08am
the mod version seems to be not updated now after this last update, it's just 1.5, 1.6 is missing in the modlist, but it should work for 1,6, jea? Ty for your work, one of my main mods i have used over the past 5 years :D i edit my local xml file for now
Lucifer  [author] 27 Aug @ 9:48pm
Just for everyone else; This mod was not working for any language other than English. This should now be FIXED. If this wasn't working for you in the past, it should now work for you.
Lucifer  [author] 27 Aug @ 9:45pm
Thank you guys for your efforts in diagnosing this issue. I can only imagine that many of the issues people have had with this not working is a result of this. I will now update the mod to hopefully fix this issue for all languages. Let me know how it goes.
雾雨 27 Aug @ 11:27am
I tested again and found that while the room ratings were displayed differently in different languages, the actual room ratings remained unchanged. The mod only changed the text descriptions and had no actual effect on the system ratings.:lunar2019crylaughingpig:Or is this mod just for changing the text description?
雾雨 27 Aug @ 11:13am
It doesn't work when I use a non-English language.:stress:
D.Dcan 27 Aug @ 8:53am
Non-English languages are not subject to room size criteria changed within the mode
morph113 21 Aug @ 10:20pm
Works fine for me, maybe others have conflicting mods? Room sizes are changed to the mods values for me with this mod, also no issues with room classifications, kitchen is still kitchen and workshop is workshop.
Skywatcher68 20 Aug @ 3:59am
I've been rebuilding my mod list to fix a different issue; maybe the room confusion will resolve itself while doing so.
Lucifer  [author] 18 Aug @ 5:41pm
I will also add that the mod only changes the room size tolerances . A room that was size 26 will still be size 26, it's just you can change what 26 means, whether its considered cramped or spacious.
Lucifer  [author] 18 Aug @ 5:36pm
This mod shouldn't change how rooms are classified, it only makes a small tweak in the xml for room sizes.

I have no idea why the mod is allegedly not working for some people, I genuinely can't help, try adjusting the values in the config. The mod is quite simple and should never really breakj. It can be added/removed mid game and should work immediately (Might have to add/remove something in the room).
Flaggschiff 18 Aug @ 7:42am
The mod also has no effect im my game. Room sizes are still vanilla.
Skywatcher68 14 Aug @ 10:13pm
Well, this is strange. With this enabled, my kitchens are classified as workshops and my workshops are classified as kitchens.
채소 14 Aug @ 4:50am
After applying the mod and entering the game, the vanilla room size is still applied.
一零轻 11 Aug @ 5:26am
The MOD does not take effect.
YellowMaster 10 Aug @ 12:28am
You could upload the mod to a different platform if that isn't too much of a trouble
Lucifer  [author] 3 Aug @ 10:34pm
Left a pinned discussion with some possible steps to solve the issue, this is a known issue with multiple rimworld mods, and remains very frustrating.
Lucifer  [author] 3 Aug @ 10:22pm
I can't do anything about steam not updating the mod correctly. If the mod says it's compatible with 1.6 in game you have the correct version, otherwise it's still the old one.

The bright side is the mod is mostly functional on the old version, it will just say not compatible.

@LordBeef21 I'm well aware of what the about file should say, here is some proof: https://imgur.com/a/lTR0ptT One image is the local folder I use for dev, and the other is the folder that gets downloaded from the workshop, you can see they both have 1.6 in them. I don't know why its not updating properly for some people.
Lucifer  [author] 3 Aug @ 10:22pm
Sorry @LordBeef21 I accidentally deleted your comment when I was trying to delete my own
LordBeef21 3 Aug @ 10:08pm
After reinstalling everything, It's saying that the mod only supports 1.3, 1.4, and 1.5.
volduck 2 Aug @ 5:26am
hi, can you make it change royalty and ideology rooms? Especially royalty bedrooms, it pisses me off so much
Alpaga 1 Aug @ 8:07am
It works for me.
gameindex 31 Jul @ 4:48am
just not working
6'oClockMyTesticle 28 Jul @ 5:42am
Seem to be not working, tried it without any mods
DTS 21 Jul @ 3:42am
Actually ingame it also show incompatible. I just resubbed to all my mods.
LordBeef21 18 Jul @ 11:15pm
Do the recovery thing in rimsort?
LordBeef21 18 Jul @ 11:14pm
@JoeOwnage make sure you refresh? Restart rimsort?
JoeOwnage 18 Jul @ 12:48pm
I unsubbed and resubbed multiple times and my rimsort still thinks this is 1.5 not sure whats going on
Wintermist 16 Jul @ 7:13am
I think the problem was just Steam itself :/ the version thing simply fixed itself without any updates or anything from the mod itself. Steam did have some big crash or whatever last night, now atleast it all seems to be working as normal again.
NuanKi 15 Jul @ 6:48pm
revalidate your game files, that should fix it
Aleksey 15 Jul @ 4:08pm
I recently started using RimSort and used its updater to download mod updates, but I noticed that a couple of mods (including this one just recently) seem to be downgraded, exactly the way Nico described. Maybe the issue has to be with RimSort or the way it uses the Steam API.
Wintermist 15 Jul @ 12:43pm
Funny, I had that thing with versions using Complex Jobs, it said it was for 1.5 and below. Now that changed to THIS mod instead and Complex Job is back to 1.6. So bizarre.
Lucifer  [author] 15 Jul @ 12:14pm
@Nico I uploaded the last version again. I'm not confident it will work, the issue seems pretty stubborn. Many people have this type of issue, especially with Rimworld mods, for some reason it seems to happen to this one more than others?

Anyway This steam discussion has some extra steps which might help you as well.
Nico 14 Jul @ 7:48pm
Could you update this again? For some reason despite me resubscribing RimSort still says this is a 1.5 and below only mod
Lucifer  [author] 14 Jul @ 11:43am
@FemboyNugget Actually it is updated, classic steam workshop issue, just unsubscribe and resubscribe to force a file update.
FemboyNugget 13 Jul @ 4:47pm
Your mod is compatible with 1.6 but you haven't updated the config so it shows as incompatible in the mod menu
AJ 6 Jul @ 12:55am
@Lucifer Thanks! all fixed im going to add this to discussions for anyone else who needs an example.
Lucifer  [author] 5 Jul @ 2:09pm
@AJ
You're not adding ([numOfOccupiedTiles] * 0.5).

Example in your 5x5, it's 25 tiles of course, if 5 are occupied with stuff, its 20*1.4=28 + 5*0.5=2.5 so 30.5. Free tiles * 1.4 + Occupied tiles * 0.5.
AJ 4 Jul @ 7:33pm
Hey mate i love the mod im trying to change the settings to match the following rooms, can you check my math please?

2x3 room Rather Tight - (2x3=6(-2 for stuff) 4x1.4=5.6)= 5.5
3x3 room Average-Sized - (3x3=9(-3 for stuff) 6x1.4=8.4)= 7.5
4x4 room SW Spacious - (4x4=16(-5 for stuff) 11x1.4=15.4)= 14.5
5x5 room Quite Spacious - (5x5=25(-5 for stuff) 20x1.4=28)= 27.5
6x6 room Very Spacious - (6x6=36(-5 for stuff) 31x1.4=43.4)= 42.5
7x7 room EX Spacious - (7x7=49(-5 for stuff) 44x1.4=61.6)= 61.5
condottiere 26 Jun @ 1:08am
@SSJKarma the beauty of this mod is that whatever you think is BS, you can edit to fit your own sensibilities. Not sure what you're complaining about since Lucifer has empowered you to chart your own room-sized destiny.

If you're just venting, then I agree the vanilla values are a bit much. However, IRL I have met with clients in their houses which had rooms that match the modded sizes (if we estimate 1 tile = 1 square meter or approx 10 sq ft). Yes, those 50,000+ sq ft (approx 5000 sq m) mansions were absurd to my middle-class instincts, but they def qualified for extremely lavish/spacious.

A 175 sq m room is approx the size of an entire US mid-20th century house. Not my own pref or within my budget, but they do exit IRL.
SSJKarma 22 Jun @ 4:08pm
i think the exponential growth on the numbers is bullshit to begin with.
scale is already all messed up in this game.
maximum size in vanilla for a maxed out room requires a 28x10 room which is madness.
even with th enumbers you are using , its still madness to want anything room wise bigger then 11x11. so i would make the +8 mood bonus attainable by rooms maximum 11x11 with stuff in them. right now even with this mod, its madness to even try to get maximum stat bonus.
cloudust 21 Jun @ 9:28am
Thanks! I just created a small patch with gpt for it lol
Lucifer  [author] 20 Jun @ 9:31am
@cloudust not this mod, that error is regarding the room 'type' parameter being null. Room type is not changed at all by this mod.
cloudust 19 Jun @ 4:28pm
@Lucifer

I keep getting this error appearing - any clue if it's from your mod?

Error while Determining if X should need space: System.ArgumentNullException: Value Cannot Be Null. Parameter name: type
Farbott 16 Jun @ 12:42am
gawdamn lightning fast
KingOfSpades 12 Jun @ 5:16pm
Unsubscribe, resubscribe worked, thanks!
Lucifer  [author] 12 Jun @ 10:30am
@Muad'dib Well it all depends on the implementation. But for that mod, it seems to define it's own numerical size requirement (e.g. archcount requires >100 area). For that this mod wouldn't do anything.

Other mods which add requirements tied to vanilla 'impressiveness' or uses the vanilla size tiers would in theory be affected.
