This mod it looks like only changes spaces calculated, it does not change room Impressiveness calculated.
I have no idea why the mod is allegedly not working for some people, I genuinely can't help, try adjusting the values in the config. The mod is quite simple and should never really breakj. It can be added/removed mid game and should work immediately (Might have to add/remove something in the room).
The bright side is the mod is mostly functional on the old version, it will just say not compatible.
@LordBeef21 I'm well aware of what the about file should say, here is some proof: https://imgur.com/a/lTR0ptT One image is the local folder I use for dev, and the other is the folder that gets downloaded from the workshop, you can see they both have 1.6 in them. I don't know why its not updating properly for some people.
Anyway This steam discussion has some extra steps which might help you as well.
You're not adding ([numOfOccupiedTiles] * 0.5).
Example in your 5x5, it's 25 tiles of course, if 5 are occupied with stuff, its 20*1.4=28 + 5*0.5=2.5 so 30.5. Free tiles * 1.4 + Occupied tiles * 0.5.
2x3 room Rather Tight - (2x3=6(-2 for stuff) 4x1.4=5.6)= 5.5
3x3 room Average-Sized - (3x3=9(-3 for stuff) 6x1.4=8.4)= 7.5
4x4 room SW Spacious - (4x4=16(-5 for stuff) 11x1.4=15.4)= 14.5
5x5 room Quite Spacious - (5x5=25(-5 for stuff) 20x1.4=28)= 27.5
6x6 room Very Spacious - (6x6=36(-5 for stuff) 31x1.4=43.4)= 42.5
7x7 room EX Spacious - (7x7=49(-5 for stuff) 44x1.4=61.6)= 61.5
If you're just venting, then I agree the vanilla values are a bit much. However, IRL I have met with clients in their houses which had rooms that match the modded sizes (if we estimate 1 tile = 1 square meter or approx 10 sq ft). Yes, those 50,000+ sq ft (approx 5000 sq m) mansions were absurd to my middle-class instincts, but they def qualified for extremely lavish/spacious.
A 175 sq m room is approx the size of an entire US mid-20th century house. Not my own pref or within my budget, but they do exit IRL.
scale is already all messed up in this game.
maximum size in vanilla for a maxed out room requires a 28x10 room which is madness.
even with th enumbers you are using , its still madness to want anything room wise bigger then 11x11. so i would make the +8 mood bonus attainable by rooms maximum 11x11 with stuff in them. right now even with this mod, its madness to even try to get maximum stat bonus.
I keep getting this error appearing - any clue if it's from your mod?
Error while Determining if X should need space: System.ArgumentNullException: Value Cannot Be Null. Parameter name: type
Other mods which add requirements tied to vanilla 'impressiveness' or uses the vanilla size tiers would in theory be affected.
