You must be using another overhaul mod then. This mod is only for MTU users.

I made this for MTU. I don't know if you use another overhaul mod. I don't know what could be the issue.

You can use this mod to avoid bugs with events. Put this mod (the one that I linked) at the top and that's all. After that you can use as much character moving mods as you want. This mod will prevent bugs and it will force the game to execute all events in order.

The other thing that can happen is that he is unhappy and he leave after 1 turn (Ma Teng). This mod can't pull him to your faction from the recruitment pool.
The other thing that can happen is a bug with events. Sometimes the game goes crazy and for example out of 10 events only 4 will happen.
