Hmm, i think there is a way to make fane look like Steel, i've seen some mods that kinda change the character with origins, but i think i would have to make another mod for that. But i don't wanna do this, to much effort for a thing i wouldn't use haha

I also prefer bright silver and gold colors for body, was thinking about just dark grey for clothes earlier, so it would contrast with the body
Yep, there is. Hair color options sadly just don't work on clothes. I've been looking for a workaround some time before, but no luck on that
Basically i can choose only 1 color for clothes for 1 "race"(human or elf body) at a time.
Btw, what color do u use for Steel, bright or dark? I was thinking about changing the clothes color, so it would fit the looks

With the "hatless undead aren't spooky" mod it's even less of an issue now.
When creating a race mod, you need to manually add that race to each class, that's why. Thus, any mods that change the standard classes will break any race mod (you will appear without equipment, in the of the case of an undead race - you will be locked at the beginning of the game).
Use spirit vision.
I went through the campaign several times with this race, the only problem I saw is the wrong god in this part, but it never soft- or hard- locked the game, you just go through the dialogue and everything is fine. And i can't think of any mod that would conflict with mine this way.
There is a known bug with the Power Shield passive, but it still kinda works due to the enemy AI.
Yeah, this is important for all race mods because you have to manually add races to each class.
Btw "Acid Burn" animation is vanilla animation from the earth magic skill "Corrosive Spray", looks cool anyway :)

Not at the moment. It is likely that if I start playing divinity again, I will make a separate race with visible armor.

But i guess any mod that changes vanilla classes would break it tho. Like "Stronger start" and etc.
You probably have some mod that adds classes. Only vanilla classes are supported, and only vanilla classes will start with gear on. That's a thing for all race\class related mods in Divinity, you always need to add races for class individually, so it's kinda pointless to support modded classes.
As for clothing, give me a moment, mb i will add another version of race with clothes rn.
