Not yet. Just got through City of Alen. So good. I found you with Light Casts Shadow, it was so amazing I was excited to see your other efforts. Have run through every bit of it, Planetfall, Narsut, Gautus, and now this. None have disappointed! I have a couple left to play still after this.

Another amazing scenario Sarekh. Such a rich universe you've created. One complaint though - I'm a grown man and not supposed to be holding back tears playing a game. Some of these stories on screens, whew! Lol, fantastic work.

PS: if you don't play against my world parts PVE style you might go into the game settings for the world and reset all ownership. It would remove every grid from their factions, that migt help

ah, veryy possibly weaponcore, then! This world as well as Ieram use several factions instead of one faction as they both have some questparts that could not have been done otherwise back in the day - all my newer scenarios usually only incorporate one faction for this very reason: it is muuuuch less prone to side effects

Advanced welding, build info, build vision, weaponcore(likely the culprit), mods that require weaponcore, build and repair- that’s all I can remember. I deleted the save file and went to a different world. The strange thing is that weaponcore hadn’t effected other worlds by you before as both scenarios worked perfectly fine with them.

Huh - I just loaded it up and they are not attacking each other in my local save... Can you tell me what mods you've added and what you saw that happened? Maybe there's a quick fix for whatever might be the problem

the AIF and AKH factions are bugged, they keep attacking each other for some reason

You don't need to, your player ship is ablet to handle the heavy gravity if you fly carefully. But you are free to try out the dropship :)

I modified my tiny atmospheric recon drone: replaced atmospheric thrusters with ions and added whopping 12 rocket launchers. Turns out, enemy ships had no AI and just stay in place. I was kinda expecting to abandon the drone and jump out, as they would aggro. So hit and run tactics worked, since drone was such a small target. I ran out of rockets just as last of the enemy ship was destroyed. I had to use my lidar script because drone could not measure distance to the targets, so I put a trasparent LCD in front of main camera and added another camera as a lidar camera. I set lidar max range to 800m, and the moment lcd text turned red, I let out a salvo and rapidly retreated, again and again.

Ah, here we approach the limitations of my space engineers skills. I have seen too many iterations of my scenarios break because the trigger systems or the whole scenario system was overhauled or removed, So I switched to worlds that are much harder to break as there are no conditionals - in this case, the scenario would be finished, you beat the game. You could of course, for example follow Blazingimp's example, procure some warships in the world and blast the living crap out of those enemy units if you wanted ;-)

Your task is to identify the FTL staging point of the enemy forces. ... and how to report it? I found the waypoint, there is a fleet of large warships here ... do I supposed to attack them by mayself?

The AI blocks do not like the fleet. No idea what I did wrong, but they refuse to form up. :\

I have usurped the fleet, but unfortunately I don't think AI blocks can fire the missiles (the grid ones, I know they can fire the normal static ones)

Oh, that one is a bit tricky..
First, you need to get aboard the surveillance satellites and find the incident coordinates
And then you need to board the wreckage and find the escape pod coordinates

I think I'm missing something, but I can't figure out what. I have the 2nd and 3rd parts of the co-ords from The Special Project Facility and the downed ship near the Search area , But I can't figure out where to get the third.
I'm 90% sure I have explored all 3 active cities and the ruined one, and I'm 75% sure I have explored all of the ships and space infrastructure (Hospital, scrapyard, fleet, observation stations, 1 or 2 switching stations, comms center, gate, hotel, prison, Escape pod, the transport and its escort. I have also explored 4 planetary locations: the SPF, the spoiler, the mine, and the claiming site.
What could I have missed? My only possible thought is I may have missed something on the guardian, as I didn't search it too hard, but I assumed the intel from it was where the
Escape Pod went, and looking through the terminal, I can't find any LCDs or Text panels with any other information.

Btw I think that the director of the prison station is a bit busted. if I am talking to the right person (and its unclear because I cant tell where the ready room is for sure), they don't have any dialogue.

I suggest trying a less direct approach. More flat vectors will get you into the ship again, it is definitely possible!

Yes, there are additional worlds in the making. A new IRL job kinda took the energy for some time but I've only just again begun to work on SE worlds again and there is one half way finished <3

I've enjoyed all your worlds, but this one is just outstanding. I spent a few weeks leisurely enjoying this one and visiting everything and talking to everyone (while of course upholding the reputation of an Imperial Investigator). The addition of the NPC mod and the wonderful amounts of dialogue you've included really brings this to life. I know these must take thousands of hours to make, but I'm really hoping there's another in the works! :) Thank you for taking the time to create these worlds and share them!

You know that there are not any actual, interactionable NPCs in Space Engineers, right? :)
Those folks standing around there are merely a mod that put text panels in the form of people in the world. This is more of a snapshot of a world that you can visit, interact with and explore - but if I had managed to put actual, working NPCs into the game I'd expect a job offer from KSH at the very least :-D

Did i do somethnig wrong? i spawned in, didnt have to join a faction, because i was already in one, and now i have a billion credits. is it meant to be this way? i noticed when i went to the ATM. I also cant rent a room because the NPC keeps asking me if im intrested in one. ( I officially feel dumb):steamhappy:

I suggest you try to load speed mods without any other skybox mods - so remove the magellanic cloud mod first and tell me if that works. I don't see any other potential conflicts in the world.
I do, however, recommend to be careful about the planets - they have helluvalotofgravity

Hey! Open the admin menu by clicking Alt+F10 and then find the admin privileges menu on the top right side. Check "can access all terminals" and you should be good to go :)

Hi, I just noticed that after joining the imperial fleet faction, I still cannot access the space motel that is a few km away from the jump gate. I know you mentioned leaving the "Can access all terminals" on in the admin thing, but I don't really know what you're talking about when you say that...

This world is much more an interactive story that you follow along without the actual need to build so the world is not balanced towards that. For example, there is exactly one asteroid in the whole system!
The progression would be much more story-driven - at least as I intended it. If you want to just explore around and have less of a linear story and more of a world to explore while you have your "normal" space engineers experience I would suggest Ieram System, as it has asteroids:

I love the look of this but I just wanted to ask, I normally use mods like scarce resources so I get a sense of progression. Would this work alongside that mod?
Alternatively, does this mod encourage any kind of progression in terms of what you can build early on?

Thank you for the mentioning - just watched it and got a good chuckle out of it :-D

As for the names: I realised that half way through deployment and decided against implementing this here. I will probably do so in the next one, though. It's tougher when there are already names scattered all through the system that you would have to cross-reference agains the newly added NPC blocks.

@Sarekh I noticed one thing that you might know now but if you edit the Public Text (title) with the actual names of the NPCs, the dialog text looks like the NPC is really talking to you.

Yesterday I recommended your scenario to Xocliw in the SE live. I hope he shows it on another live :)

Just as it says in the description: read some text panels :)
for example: the first rather large sets of GPS coordinates can be found in the text panels in your own ship as well as in the military station right next to the jump gate!
