Description


„Akholestis is a strategically important system at the frontier of the Akhinnae Empire - it's rich in resources as well as at the doorstep of several FTL-jumpnodes. The neighbouring Assu'ne Republic is undertaking aggressive raids against imperial forces in the system and thus there is no normal colonial presence but a series of heavily fortified bases in which civilians and military must squeeze in alike. The living conditions are lousy, the space is sparse - but the payment for just one complete cycle of work in the Akholestis System will be a small fortune.

After a series of attacks against Imperial Forces you have been sent to the system. Your task is to identify the FTL staging point of the enemy forces.”


This is Version 2.0 of an explorable world that you can visit in survival or creative.
It’s a heavily updated and improved version of my three years old Akholestis system – I made use of the performance improvements and took it to the limits again. It features all the new blocks, more rooms, more texts, more ships, new stations and especially: NPC blocks. I got tired of empty worlds, so I used the wonderful “AE NPC Dummies” mod to fill this world with HUNDREDS of npcs – all with their own texts.

This world now also has an OPTIONAL, new questline that you can but don’t have to follow.
WHILE THIS WORLD USES ALL DLC BLOCKS, YOU DO NOT NEED THE DLC TO DOWNLOAD AND PLAY THE WORLD!

Please note: you will need to join the available faction first in order to properly spawn.

Take control of the ship in the middle of the FTL ring and use it to explore the system.
Get new GPS coordinates for places of interest from displays scattered around in stations, ships and settlements.

MOST IMPORTANT

Tons of different backstories, crafted into the world via messages, reports, orders, letters and scenes. Visit the capital city, the gas mining settlement or the scrap station, go wherever you like and read private messages, military reports, shifts, schedules and letters from everyone. Find new scenes and places by uncovering all the GPS coordinates in the text panels!

Akhinnae – it’s my own world, with lore, language, history – I am a nerd, you know?
“DLC split the community, why do you use them here?”
I understand the argument, but I do not agree with it. I use the DLC because the give me the vanilla possibilities to use decorative freedom that I would otherwise not have. You are free to use the item without the DLC and I will not change my old worlds and blueprints so they can still be used without DLC. For new content, however, I chose to use all available DLC.

-I have used all the DLC available. If that hurts you then you are free to leave and not use this blueprint. You can also consider using those worlds and blueprints that I have created before the introduction of DLC and that are free of any of them and will also stay without DLC

Not yet. Just got through City of Alen. So good. I found you with Light Casts Shadow, it was so amazing I was excited to see your other efforts. Have run through every bit of it, Planetfall, Narsut, Gautus, and now this. None have disappointed! I have a couple left to play still after this.

Another amazing scenario Sarekh. Such a rich universe you've created. One complaint though - I'm a grown man and not supposed to be holding back tears playing a game. Some of these stories on screens, whew! Lol, fantastic work.

PS: if you don't play against my world parts PVE style you might go into the game settings for the world and reset all ownership. It would remove every grid from their factions, that migt help

ah, veryy possibly weaponcore, then! This world as well as Ieram use several factions instead of one faction as they both have some questparts that could not have been done otherwise back in the day - all my newer scenarios usually only incorporate one faction for this very reason: it is muuuuch less prone to side effects

Advanced welding, build info, build vision, weaponcore(likely the culprit), mods that require weaponcore, build and repair- that’s all I can remember. I deleted the save file and went to a different world. The strange thing is that weaponcore hadn’t effected other worlds by you before as both scenarios worked perfectly fine with them.

Huh - I just loaded it up and they are not attacking each other in my local save... Can you tell me what mods you've added and what you saw that happened? Maybe there's a quick fix for whatever might be the problem

the AIF and AKH factions are bugged, they keep attacking each other for some reason
