auto cast abilities added to ships, i havent done the description for the inbuilt component ones, but the weapon one show what they do, though most icons are temporary

I have noticed that the Enclave stations are now shooting at me... even before I complete first contact. Is this a bug... or a feature :)

okay should be fixed now, they added two lines to the species class, one is the base trait (machine, organic, lithoid etc), and another one that determines wether the species uses climate preference

I had a working empire and now it has the species completely grayed out for the main portrait selection. When I hover over appearance it says "Portrait conflicts with out selected Trait: Continental Preference, requires one of the following Species Archetypes: Biological, Pre-Sapient, Lithoid." I have planetary diversity (was working fine before, started a game to test) but changing to any other planet type doesn't fix the issue. I've never seen this before but every appearance category is greyed out besides Machine and BioGenesis. Even portraits in BioGenesis are greyed out besides the first one. I think the issue is because the Borg portraits have their own category instead of being in the machine. Also when I hover over the Borg portraits I get some feedback. For the first one its the same error as when hovering on Appearance, and for the second it conflicts with all the machine traits I had in the empire preset.

4.1 seems to have broken the species selection.

The event is a bit of sorcery as i couldnt get the vanilla code to transfer across, essentially its 2 seperate functions. One saves the main species and kills of assimiltaing pops and the other creates new ones based of the saved species. I hadnt put a constraint on the second one if cybernetic pops where there. It work fine with a DE, but not with a DA, which is what the third function is for.

I think there is a problem with assimilation, it seems to be adding an additional 50 maintenance drones to each of my planets per month, I haven't even met anyone to assimilate yet :)

Update:

added the rest of the ship sizes, now up to 14.

removed the voiceline weapons

added the first ability, Borg commander ( activates a small ship buff for 10 days on a 20 day cooldown) passively activated while in combat

added a new starting planet derelict cube,

pop assimilation is back in, now converts at a rate of 50 a month.

Not green on my end when I was playing the mod. They had the right sound effect but looked like reddish orange lasers, like the stuff the mining drones use I think.

Roger. As an aside, are there plans to replace the weapon effects so they look like Borg cutting beams? Even just a recolor of the beam to green would work.

Still a work in progress so they are balanced like at all. I recommend ui overhaul as there are a lot of components on the larger ones.

updated with the first 5 of the new ship classes, these use the special borg shipset, does require the other shipset mod though.

Well the current stuff in my lineup
1: custom ship sizes with each having a different purpose
2: ship “abilities”
3: an actual proper unicomplex (multi stage system wide megastructure)
4: hopefully getting around to doing a story mode.

for some reason the sensor part of the borg tech isn't working. Got tier 2 and it wont show the lanes or systems

Nope i tested it i destroyed all platforms in the "not essential" systems and upkeep was back to normal. so check your policies @bobleeswagger and put them on no spending in the eternal vigilance option and all will be good. %The upkeep results from the built platforms from the ascention perk.

? Its an eternal vigilance thing. Its gonna be just as much maintenance for ships. Just not the defence platforms.

I can only confirm that after the update, there were -7k eng and -1k alloys :D No way Blockcats won. :) I'd better wait for an update :D

oh yer. that has been an issue for everyone lol. wont be an issue in the future, as once i get my pc repaired i will be updating so the extra cost and upkeep wont be necessary

Ok i found the Problem it was me stupid and not reading korrekt i used the ascention perk eternal vigilance and as default it builds on EVERY outpost defense platforms if you dont regulate it in the policy menu SO SOrry for bothering you with my stupidity XD

well itested it today i had +1k energy credits and +200 alloys with a total of 25 corvettes and 2 frigates with an upkeep of 275 EC and some alloys. suddenly as the next month arrives it skyroket to 2500 EC with the same ships is this a bug from the mod?

Hey there is there a bug with the menace ships? if i buld the menace ones suddenly my ship upkeeps skyroket. it occured after building the menace destroyer. someone have simmilar problems? befor the last patch was all ok. thnx
