I have not touched space engineers modding in a while. I might lock into it next weekend. But no promisses.

doesnt seem to be working atm for me? have sat on urna for 15 mins no sign, and the admin menu has no option for acid rain in spawn weather?

It is theoreticly possible to add that but the script is not designed for this so you need to add some extra code. And that is not that easy(but doable if you can write code).

Heyyo. So Block resistances I get. But is there a way to list certain blocks that take damage faster? For instance if I have a corrosive atmosphere, things like Atmospheric Thrusters would take a good deal more damage than just blocks since they are "sucking" all that bad air right through them.

Gonna have go and see if I can get it to work, been watching a let's play of death stranding and fancy some rain that is a hazard. Thanks for the help.

It is possible. You just need to change the affected planet in the config. And of course, the weather. At least I think that’s all you need to change. I have not worked on this script for a while. But everything should be well documented.

I don't suppose it would be possible to use this on earth like planets with their rain weather?

I have not tested any shield mods. It probably depends on the shield mod. But I have heard that shields do work with the original script.

How do shields react to acid rain?
sed_and_awk 31 Jul, 2021 @ 4:29pm
it doesnt need to be instant just fast enough they dont build up and lag, ill look at the settings i guess
janik-bey  [author] 31 Jul, 2021 @ 4:23pm
There is no way to do it straight forward, but you can increase the damage to destroy everything. But be careful destroying too many blocks too fast in SE can cause lags.
sed_and_awk 31 Jul, 2021 @ 3:34pm
is it possible to change the settings of this script to instantly destroy any block that enters the storm?
janik-bey  [author] 9 Jun, 2021 @ 11:30am
You don't need to code yoursefl. In fact the script is quite complex(~1000lines) but changing settings is well commented.

Thanks a ton.

I seem to be able to burn water level bad when messing with code...
janik-bey  [author] 9 Jun, 2021 @ 11:25am
sure
you could do the same its rather simple.
But I was working on something like this anyway so I will upload kharak. Should be up in the next few minutes.
Dark Raider SD 9 Jun, 2021 @ 11:18am
Hmm could you make a version of this that makes sand storms on any planet do the same?
janik-bey  [author] 9 Jun, 2021 @ 4:58am
I have not tryed it. There is no extra line for it. But I think I have heared that it worked forrexxars original scipt. And there was no extra code eather. So it should. If not tell me and I might try to fix it.

Do the defense shields protect against it
janik-bey  [author] 6 Jun, 2021 @ 5:31am
I was thinking of something simular but then changing the damage scipt so that the blocks will still recieve damage a little time after the storm ends. But thats way in the future if I do it at all. But should not be too hard to code.

Roger that, my immediate thought went to applying this to a radioactive planet. Using the script to create dangerous "Radiation Storms"
janik-bey  [author] 6 Jun, 2021 @ 4:59am
Just don't use to many weather types at ones there is a double foreach loop. One for weather and one for block resistances. It runs in a background thread so should not be a problem if you have few weather types OR few resistand blocks. Both might be bad.
Echo 6 Jun, 2021 @ 4:44am
Oooh, being able to configure the damage script to proc on weather opens up a bunch of creative options. I may just have to use that. 😁

very cool , thanks, it s possible to the same whith hearth
