JK you really thought it was bad?? this thing is amazing though i would like it more if there were more torpedo's and more missiles.
I'm currently underway in your November Class, so far so good. Absolutely keep these subs up to date when the weapons dlc comes around, they have heaps of potential due to being so easy to use!
Would be really cool to have a helm at the top of the conning tower for harbor maneuvering but it would take away the historical accuracy of the vessel.
The issues with the ballast tanks are mostly due to water pressure outside the submarine, one set of pumps was particularly problematic so I replaced them with large pumps. This issue has been corrected on my November-Class sub.
I don't know if there's much I can do about the hatch at the bottom of the conning tower. I'm not certain how I would fix that issue.
I can certainly increase the reverse speed!
There isn't a clutch on this boat, It's powered entirely by electric motors so the propellers shouldn't be spinning in idle but I'll definitely look into it!
She has a very fast diving/surfacing pitch angle, I know nothing about submarines irl but I think it would be better if the dive angle wasn't so steep.
Forward ballast tank takes longer to empty than aft and stalls sometimes when emptying.
Conning tower lower hatch is unable to be closed from above when on ladder.
Very slow reverse speed, almost useless when trying to maneuver at a harbor.
Also the throttle seems to keep spinning the props albeit very slowly at -0.00 or 0.00, perhaps a clutch system or a some kind of lockout to prevent it spinning?
Lack of external rope tie-offs for docking.
Also I think she could do with some running lights too.
I'm not a builder (infact I suck at it) but I thought some constructive feedback for improvement would be helpful.
The staircase's dome requites an extra half a deck of space so extending it up to boat deck would require a space almost as tall as the funnels. It's not really possible without ruining the look of the ship.
