I don't like it when I have to die and reload the game because of a skill failure. So, I made it so that if you fall in the water you don't die, you just have to climb out, but your portals close and you can't shoot any new ones.

You seem are really good at creating maps.
I, Well, can't figure out how to make a map in Hammer. I've Created a series called 'The Run', and I haven't been doing to well when it comes to the actual puzzle. I'm not asking for a tutorial, I'm just looking for feedback. Not very many people play my puzzles, much less comment. So if you have the time, could you look at my maps? It would be amazing if you do. Here's the link: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=298873026

Enjoy the puzzle!
Now that i learned such new cool tricks, i'm going to make a map like this too. only probably harder, but safe(falling into that water made me use noclip to start again and again. You could have used a simple pit with stairs to the begining)... ^_^
Anyhow, thanks for teaching me this :D
Here have an

Myr (FR) - As always, thanks for playing my map. I know you like to use "glitches", but of course it's not necessary to use the crouch flying glitch to solve this map.
I did complete it eventually.
but even after pressing the button, to lower the difficulty.
I found the 1st chamber very hard & it took many attempts.
I just lack the skill, to enjoy the 1st chamber.
the crossing the goo part.
the rest was good.
not my kind of map.
I lack the skills & quick monouvers.
the 1st chamber I made 3 visits to.
to many attempts, each visit to remember.
after eventualy getting to the 2nd chamber.
I tried in vain, to get the laser into the laser catcher,
in the 1st chamber, above the goo.
at this point I watched the walkthrough, by GraveNoX (thankyou GraveNoX)
I still had great difficulty completing the physical parts, in the 1st chamber.
then to have to do it again, at the end, ahh.
all that aside, it looked good, with good puzzles in other areas.
for those who like quick monouvers, it would be a good map.
for that reason, even though not to my personel taste, thumbs up
There seem to be all kinds of problems when an excursion funnel intersects itself. I was able to walk straight out of Brave's original map doing what you describe. Fatso found that you could wriggle into the exit by putting the funnel on the wall just to the right of the door, and I blocked that. Then he did it with the funnel coming up from the floor. I blocked portals close to the door but still managed to wriggle out. The invisible barrier is a measure of desperation, but at least now you can't go against the direction of the funnels.
kimist108 : Thanks for playing and the encouragement.
Sauerkrautbaum : I would very much like to see your pros and cons list. I have already played your map "Interiority Science" and given it a thumbs up.
Jade BGE : Thanks for playing. Presumably, you were able to solve the puzzle in this version. Was it the observations rooms that made the difference? The training chambers?
