And when I want a big partisan civil war like real late rome, that just doesn't fit my purpose. I'd rather having an unrealistic two party system than having a fight with the 'Viri Collegium';
May I note that the screenshot shows power share as exactly 47 vs 53.
And as I said the description, the mod is compatible with almost mods, as long as they don't change politics.
@justinsane11 and Vindicator{2RB}
Unfortunately, there is no way to make this system to appear in the correct time period. However, you can start a campaign without this mod and later you can activate it and play with it. Keep in mind that you should start that campaign as the Cornelia or Julia family (Cornelia = Optimates; Julia = Populares). Don't choose the Junia family.
I have tried this, all three factions remain. I have a feeling it has to do with DeI.
You have to start a new campaign to have only two factions. If you load an old saved game, the Junia will be there along side with the Populares and the Optimates.
A few exceptions would be acceptable if we consider adoptions, but here in the game it's very rare to have characters with the middle-name of ypur gens in your House, and you can even end with a Cornelius in the Julia House by example...
Thanks to your mod, you get rid of all this nonsense and without being non-historical. It was moreover totally possible for Houses members to be in both the Optimates and Populares parties, like it was the case with Lucius Cornelius Sulla (Optimates) and Lucius Cornelius Cinna (Populares).
Thanks a lot !
