@Iecerint I'm not sure about Muslim enhancements; not familiar with the mod. As long as it doesn't add any new tenets or modify the same doctrine categories it should be fine.

As for Gnosticism, I considered it, but the Gnosticism tenet is very powerful with its stat adjustments. I wasn't sure if I wanted to have that as a doctrine slot and ended up not doing it.
Iecerint 11 Aug @ 7:05pm
Have you considered reclassifying stuff like Gnosticism as a syncretism?
Iecerint 11 Aug @ 6:50pm
Ah nice. So I could use it with Muslim Enhancements, too, then?
fhqwhgads  [author] 11 Aug @ 2:30pm
It -should- work with more faith icons. This mod doesn't modify any of the vanilla faiths, instead it adds/removes tenets using an event that triggers on game start.
Iecerint 11 Aug @ 8:59am
I'm loving this mod. Any recommendations for incorporating a "more faith icons" mod? There are so few viable options, but I can't go back to playing without your mod now
Alex the Great 5 Aug @ 11:49am
Can you make this compatible with this mod?
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3175652923
It just increases the tenet slots but it doesn’t work with your mod and I’d love to use both.
fhqwhgads  [author] 2 Jul @ 11:24pm
@lecerint This mod incorporates Tenets to Doctrines. The two mods would be incompatible.
Iecerint 1 Jul @ 1:05pm
Does this implement tenets into doctrines on its own, or build on that as a second mod?
fhqwhgads  [author] 26 Jun @ 1:13am
@YourDah I really wanted to, but due to the way adultery is handled in the game I don't believe I can. It would require a lot of new code and I don't want this mod to overwrite more than it needs to.
YourMarge 25 Jun @ 1:03pm
would u consider adding gender specific polyamory?
fhqwhgads  [author] 28 May @ 12:09pm
Like, I'm sure I tested it back when I originally wrote the code in 2021, but almost every time the game updates I have to replace the core_tenets file with Paradox's new version and add all my code back in. I don't go and test every single tenet in that case, so things can get missed.

So even if it didn't happen in this case I don't mind the occasional false positive.
fhqwhgads  [author] 28 May @ 12:06pm
No problem, things happen sometimes and I mess up a trigger. It's something I might not notice if someone didn't tell me.
TheEpicNoobZilla 28 May @ 12:02pm
sorry
TheEpicNoobZilla 28 May @ 12:02pm
Ok i am blind, i see it now
fhqwhgads  [author] 28 May @ 11:34am
I will check that, it shouldn't be the case.
TheEpicNoobZilla 28 May @ 10:49am
Then it's inconsistend since Adamatism is the only religion that can enact this tenet
fhqwhgads  [author] 28 May @ 9:39am
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I believe that's intentional. This mod doesn't remove the Natural Primitivism tenet, it just moves the nudity portion to a doctrine and in fact makes Natural Primitivism require full nudity as a doctrine.
TheEpicNoobZilla 28 May @ 1:02am
It seems that Adamitism (the naked christians) still have "Natural Primitivism" tenet with "full naked" doctrine. It is the only religion that have access to this tenet from my checking
fhqwhgads  [author] 22 May @ 11:44pm
I see, I apologize, I misunderstood what you were saying.
TheEpicNoobZilla 6 May @ 9:48am
I know that. From my testing this mod works with Catholic Trinity (probably biggest religion mod) if used with load order provided below
fhqwhgads  [author] 6 May @ 8:54am
I really can't adjust for every different mod combination and load order. Religious mods tend to not play nicely with each other barring unless they don't touch the core_tenets file.
TheEpicNoobZilla 4 May @ 10:40pm
Could you please add that this mod is compatabile with Catholic Trinity and RUI as long as your load order looks like this:
1. Traditional Tenets
2. Catholic Trinity
3. RUI
fhqwhgads  [author] 14 Mar @ 4:55pm
I missed a minor detail when it comes to virtues that changed in the latest release, it should be fixed very soon.
fhqwhgads  [author] 13 Mar @ 3:51pm
I don't really think I'm looking to maintain another version of the mod at this time. A fourth tenet slot would also mean I'd need to adjust the UI more, adding more work too.
Rafi the Tiger 13 Mar @ 3:33pm
Would you be able to make a version with 4 tenet slots?
I've been using the Tenets to Doctrines mod for a long time, but I think I'll switch. My only gripe is that there are only 3 slots.
Just one more would make most religions so much more interesting, so I thought I'd ask ^^
fhqwhgads  [author] 12 Mar @ 11:50am
I will see to updating when I am available. I haven't been at my PC since the patch dropped but I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to update by tonight or tomorrow at the latest, I don't think there's a huge amount of overlap.
Ed 12 Mar @ 7:54am
the mod needs updating, love the mod though!
fhqwhgads  [author] 25 Feb @ 11:50pm
I don't plan to add any special small variations on the various religion-specific tenets. If you don't want to be a warmongering Norse then it seems to me you should probably just not pick those specific tenets. Many of them are based on the CK2 doctrines, including the Norse one.

I'll look into the court_type thing though.
Clemente 17 Feb @ 4:21pm
Could you add a "lesser" Warmonger tenet? E.g. only Conquest/Invasion CB parameters plus the mod's Berserker parameter. Maybe reduced parameters or just the accolade multiplier.

And maybe a game rule to have it as the default for Norse religion? I don't enjoy the Warmonger parameter forcing all Norse to war. They weren't all like that.

Also, you should change the common/court_types/court_types.txt file too, it has a check on court_warlike and court_tribal for the Warmonger tenet similar to the Berserker court events
fhqwhgads  [author] 10 Feb @ 7:58pm
It should be up to date still.
danielreddick68 10 Feb @ 6:27pm
Will this still work with the latest patch?
fhqwhgads  [author] 9 Dec, 2024 @ 4:34pm
Unfortunately there's not really a lot I can do about that, any mod that affects tenets will be incompatible with any other mod that affects tenets. Maybe one day when Paradox does a religion rework they'll restructure the files to be more like cultural traditions, which are more flexibly moddable.
GrimoireODS 9 Dec, 2024 @ 1:32am
Would be cool if this was more compatible, sadly its not :c
太易 5 Nov, 2024 @ 12:13am
thank you sir
Mystery_Shaman 12 Mar, 2024 @ 1:46pm
can you make a patch for muslim enhancements?
fhqwhgads  [author] 28 Feb, 2024 @ 8:47am
So I imagine this mod, especially Monument Builders, will need to have a re-visit to account for the new funeral mechanics in the upcoming patch/DLC. I will probably upload a version that just makes the mod work and be compatible first, then look at what I want to do with Pyramids.
fhqwhgads  [author] 13 Dec, 2023 @ 3:29pm
One thing I would note is that since RICE adds new faiths I can't guarantee that they'd get doctrines in new categories that are added--I tried to account for this to the best of my ability so that in most cases new faiths should start out with the right selection but it's nigh-impossible to cover every possibility.
fhqwhgads  [author] 13 Dec, 2023 @ 3:27pm
@Trolloz I can't say for sure, but if RICE leaves the core_tenets file alone it might be fine. I have not tested it myself.
Trolloz 13 Dec, 2023 @ 1:46am
is it compatible with RICE?
kalanyr 9 Dec, 2023 @ 12:27am
Another Paradox bug has been drawn to my attention in tenet_alexandrian_catechism , the is_shown currently uses an implied AND (which is unsatisfiable because a relgion can't be Christian AND Islamic) it should be

is_shown = {
OR = {
religion_tag = christianity_religion
religion_tag = islam_religion
}
}

instead
kalanyr 30 Nov, 2023 @ 5:20pm
More changes:
events/religion_events/faith_conversion_events has changes to faith_conversion.0002 to prevent heresiarchs losing the heresiarch trait pretty much immediately because they changed to a new religion.
kalanyr 30 Nov, 2023 @ 3:46pm
1.11.1.2 changes
Core Tenet update reintroduces the Double Piety Cost bugs and the Rige + HumSac bug, only changes are removing always = no , from is_shown = , in Exaltation of Pain and Communal Possessions.
kalanyr 24 Nov, 2023 @ 1:59am
In council_positions, you added in the auto_fill = yes but forgot to delete the
auto_fill = {
faith = {
NOT = { has_doctrine_parameter = clerical_appointment_ruler }
}
}

which will then override it again, since it comes afterwards.
kalanyr 23 Nov, 2023 @ 5:40pm
That seems like everything relevant.
kalanyr 23 Nov, 2023 @ 5:40pm
More 1.11.1 changes
in council_positions/00_council_positions.txt , councillor_court_chaplain autofill has been reverted to = yes (this is important to get updated ASAP because it's a reversion to fix a bug that makes lay clergy get randomly fired )
kalanyr 23 Nov, 2023 @ 4:51pm
The 1.11.1 Core Tenet Update reintroduces the Double Piety Cost bugs and the Rite + Human Sacrifice bug (using NOR instead of OR) but it also expands who Sun Worship is available too (new faiths who's parent faith have it and new faiths being spun of Saurism can both pick it now in addition to Zunism )
kalanyr 14 Nov, 2023 @ 9:34pm
You got the wrong NOR in mz_core_tenets (you changed the cannibal one rather than the HumSac one )
easy mistake they are right next to each other
Other remaining fixes look good
kalanyr 13 Nov, 2023 @ 5:41pm
@fhqwhgads
I sent a few issues to the chat again
fhqwhgads  [author] 11 Nov, 2023 @ 6:06pm
I hadn't noticed it in the initial update, but it should be fixed as of this morning. Thanks for the heads-up.
kalanyr 11 Nov, 2023 @ 2:56pm
@Zed Aruno
Actually that's a property of the Divine Marriage doctrine now (or it's renamed equivalent for Zoroastrians with it )
