this mod is for version 1.2, but the game is 1.5 right now. it's a shame too, because this seems like a really cool mod. maybe someone could recreate it? I also noticed a version on nexus, but I'm assuming it is for the same version given that was last updated in 2021...
Silveressa 10 Jan, 2024 @ 12:21am
any chance of seeing this updated to 1.4
Nyu-Wu 2 Nov, 2022 @ 7:17pm
wish this got adopted or updated
Neske 3 Dec, 2021 @ 9:25am
so far it still seams to work [the pawn functions as a stranded pawn]
BOT Ghostie  [author] 30 Nov, 2021 @ 3:22pm
oh geeze. I haven't checked if alien races has a fix for custom display of bandages, but I'll look into it some time later when I'm in the mood to mod. Otherwise, the race might just not work anymoreon 1.3
Max jamón 24 Nov, 2021 @ 1:09pm
fixing the bandages and eye displaying may be tricky, I got no idea but it sounds like it because of how the race doesn´t follow normal conventions of a humanoid pawn structure like other race mods
Max jamón 24 Nov, 2021 @ 1:06pm
Seeing as @keeper did not report back thought I would do that myself, while the mod is technically functional on 1.3, it is broken in multiple aspects so yeah it is not compatible, that is to be expected considering all the changes that 1.3 brought but is good to know to what extent things brake down, all of this without even diving into what potential errors having the ideology DLC may throw into the mix of broken things as I do not own that DLC, with only core and royalty the following is broken:
-Fenri wolves spawn with hair and beards
-The Fenri wolves sprites are slightly cut when looking upwards and side ways
-Some Pawnkinds on the fenrir faction are spawned as humans instead of fenris wolves
-Bandages are as expected broken and displayed on the wrong areas
-Eye implants or missing eyes are as expected broken and are displayed on the wrong areas
Without counting any other potential issues that may be under the hood or that may appear when the ideology DLC is installed
BOT Ghostie  [author] 7 Aug, 2021 @ 8:46pm
@Keeper I'm not sure hahah. You can try it on a new save and report back to me! Otherwise I'll have a look in a few days :meadowwolf:
SatelliteSlickers 7 Aug, 2021 @ 7:50pm
is this still compatable in 1.3?
SRT_Reno 15 May, 2021 @ 12:43pm
I would love to see more feral races in the future! It's always been a bit boring having nothing but humanoids inhabiting the universe.
BOT Ghostie  [author] 8 May, 2021 @ 10:25pm
It should be working with Cyber Fauna now. Just make sure to install Fenris Wolves after Cyber Fauna!
SatelliteSlickers 8 May, 2021 @ 11:20am
noticed a bug, prude characters freak out when they see a wolf, like one of my colonists has over negative twenty two million relationship with everyone else because they're only wearing hats
SatelliteSlickers 7 May, 2021 @ 7:31pm
when i use them together it doubles all options when it comes to operations, there are two seperate versions of every single operation inside of the menu
BOT Ghostie  [author] 6 May, 2021 @ 9:00pm
I'll look into it. Cyber Fauna says it doesn't need compatibility patches, though.
SatelliteSlickers 6 May, 2021 @ 5:04pm
would it be possible to add compatibility with cyber fauna?
SatelliteSlickers 2 May, 2021 @ 8:27pm
seems to have a pretty major conflict with plan carefuly, because of their lifespan, their backstory is blank
arget03 22 Apr, 2021 @ 10:00am
@Yamazaki Then where is the armor? I can't find it.
hawnu 21 Apr, 2021 @ 2:04pm
Interesting idea. I wonder if this could work with other animals?
BOT Ghostie  [author] 21 Apr, 2021 @ 7:47am
@arget they wear their own version of the armor, it can be distinguished from the normal animal armor because its called "fenris plate armor" etc.
arget03 13 Apr, 2021 @ 10:00am
@Yamazaki you might want to add Animal Armor: Vanilla as a required mod. Otherwise you don't have any armor for them.
arget03 13 Apr, 2021 @ 2:40am
Checked the defs for the armor, it goes on the torso, neck, and legs. Checked the Fenri body parts, it looks like they lack a torso, even though they've got internal organs.
arget03 13 Apr, 2021 @ 2:25am
They won't wear the armor. Human armor, they can't. Animal armor, when I try to get them to wear it, says that they can't do to missing body parts.
arget03 11 Apr, 2021 @ 1:56am
It looks like they sleep standing up.
Scimetar 8 Apr, 2021 @ 6:57pm
Cool Idea, but I think that for those that want more immersion, the Barky's Lupaios Race Pack (at included link) as this mod causes the generated pawns to have a more humanoid shape, making the ability to use things like guns more believable. Also, the "genetically engineered animals to make a slave race" thing is present in the kuran and vulpes race mods, but they ran with foxes instead of wolves. https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/browse/?appid=294100&searchtext=race&childpublishedfileid=0&browsesort=trend&section=readytouseitems&requiredtags%5B0%5D=Mod&requiredtags%5B1%5D=1.2&actualsort=trend&p=5
Malk 7 Apr, 2021 @ 11:00pm
Heya, just as a heads up, due to their age theres no way to pick an adult backstory with edb prepare carefully, just their child backstory
BOT Ghostie  [author] 5 Apr, 2021 @ 7:24pm
@Дрими115
Their temperature requirements should match that of the base game Arctic wolf. I haven't tested them in a desert biome yet, but are they doing a little bit too well in those situations as well?

@Mytch
thamks friemd uwu

@Okseboku
It should be, but allowing them to wear any armor you want would look quite strange. If you want to whitelist stuff for them to wear, you can go into the .xml file yourself and stick in whatever you'd like
Dreamy115 5 Apr, 2021 @ 5:55pm
The living temperature is a bit too broad tbh. I get they're wolves and all, but you can literally pick any biome and not have to worry about temperature, like at all.
john halo 4 Apr, 2021 @ 8:44pm
this is the best mod ever. this mod is so aweosme i played it over 1000 times. i told my friend legobrick2002 about this mod and he said this mod is the most awesome mod ever also. thank u for this awesome cool mod
Sven Skaven 3 Apr, 2021 @ 12:09am
Hey would it be posible to add in config where u can white list armors
BOT Ghostie  [author] 2 Apr, 2021 @ 5:17pm
Updated them with their new armor in tow! If you find any problems, be sure to let me know! :meadowwolf:
okoyum 31 Mar, 2021 @ 7:29pm
this is pawnmorpher but with a whole backstory and ability to make a functional colony
thank you so much
BOT Ghostie  [author] 31 Mar, 2021 @ 4:10am
@Endr I
For now they can't use any armor, and for clothing they can only wear cowboy hats. There was no simple way to give them armor that I could think of, that didn't involve drawing it so I opted out. If you know of any mod that gives armor to wolves in vanilla, I'll look into patching mine to work with it. :meadowwolf:

@PantherHardraad
shhh
PantherHardraad 30 Mar, 2021 @ 6:23pm
There are no wolves on Fenris
Putti I 30 Mar, 2021 @ 3:42pm
What armor and clothing can they use? Maybe if you turn the armor sideways it would work? ^^
ArterialSpray1066 30 Mar, 2021 @ 10:37am
Awesome!
Time to go eat some vikings :p
:wolfclan:
BOT Ghostie  [author] 30 Mar, 2021 @ 10:00am
@ArterialSpray1066
Nope! I don't believe so. The only thing they have in ways of buildings are their beds (Square on floor, and double bed roll). They don't have any unique technology or anything like that. You can basically just roleplay as a wolf tribe if you want :meadowwolf:
ArterialSpray1066 30 Mar, 2021 @ 9:23am
Excellent idea!

Just a quick question:
Is there anything in the mod which makes them unsuitable for a modded medieval tech (and bellow) game?
(A lot of race mods seem to either add weapons or certain features which depend on glitterworld medicine or the like)
BOT Ghostie  [author] 30 Mar, 2021 @ 8:20am
very carefully
Halituis Amaricanous 30 Mar, 2021 @ 4:52am

OptimusPrimordial 29 Mar, 2021 @ 6:55pm
How does dog gun?
arget03 29 Mar, 2021 @ 6:41pm
Pure gold. This'll make the ice sheets easier.
Stardust 🌠 29 Mar, 2021 @ 2:56pm
Legendary.
Amazing concept. Great execution.
