I'd just change universities to only gives science to unimproved jungle

Is this mod stil necessary or is this problem patched?
EatAtWendys 24. apr. 2016 kl. 6:47
I just get the poliy where all jungle tiles provide science if I'm near a bunch

Jungle is one of the worst tiles: marshes are somewhat rare, Tundra and snow are avoided by not building at the Poles, and deserts have good resources and floodplains making them one of the best farm tiles.

So a reason to not immediately burn all jungles down and replace with farms? Ill take 5

Lumber mills on jungle makes jungles more valuable as in op.

I love the idea. It just seems a tad overpowered, as you said. Perhaps make another improvement called sawmill that's unique to jungle tiles only, giving it a 50% longer build time and don't allow it to benefit from scientific theory.

I'm curious. Is it possible for jungles to yield food to nearby cities when chopped down? Making them not a complete time waste and balancing them out somewhat with forests production bonuses. Perhaps with their food yields roughly a quarter of their forest production bonuses counterpart. For example:

Chopping down a forrest provides 30 production.
Chopping down a jungle provides 7.5 food.

Really simple but clever mod idea. Mix this with universities, and maybe another slight imprivement mod, and you have all around tiles of everything. Nice job :Gems:

Nope, sorry.
finndo-eewta 16. aug. 2014 kl. 9:25
can you chop the jungles down for production bonus like forests using this mod? I'll give it a go after I finish my current game, but that could take a few weeks... maybe someone can answer before then.

This is a great idea. Logging in jungles is a lot more dangerous and difficult but it should take longer to build them on jungles. If it doesn't then that should definitely be tweaked. Great job here.

Seriously this should have been a mechanic in civ 5 from the beginning. Good job Kramer.

good mod. ty
Hra Luuris 24. mar. 2014 kl. 12:02
Nice. Jungles always felt a bit useless before Universities, but you wouldn't chop them down either, because... Universities.
Credoseek 22. mar. 2014 kl. 4:14
this mod is so simple yet it is a massive help for when you are you have a jungle city and havnt discoved guilds or education.
