Oh I solved in different ways from the video posted, both rooms, for my run in Room #1 it is done funnel-shifting, which feels a cheat, Room #2 I did it almost equal to the run in spirit but I did not use the ceiling surface at the beginning but use a loose timing to pin Cube at the funnel source, though now I realized there is better way anyway.

Two very nice challenges.

Thanks, he was beyond my hammer knowledge at the time I made this :)

Really sweet puzzle and level design.

But where is Wheatley?
TS_Mind_Swept 6 Dec, 2014 @ 7:06pm
nice test, I think i cheated the second part though, I'm pretty sure that little area by where you drop the cube on the buddin isn't intended to be used as part of the soultion. but oh well. I livestreamed it to Twitch tv, here's my profile link, http://www.twitch.tv/ts_mind_swept just find into "passed broadcasts" and it should be there. 7.5/10

a friend told me that you can do well in an ordinary editor testing
nintendo.erk  [author] 4 May, 2014 @ 6:33am
in the pti you can make a room where a funnel takes a cube to a button, i used that before i learned hammer :)
Egor 4 May, 2014 @ 4:54am
are you?

Egor 4 May, 2014 @ 4:24am
you know how?
Egor 4 May, 2014 @ 4:23am
it's not what I mean. I know that on your map does not have a timer. but specifically asking how to build
nintendo.erk  [author] 4 May, 2014 @ 3:39am
What do you mean by "timer"? I used none in this map...
Egor 4 May, 2014 @ 2:03am
HOW TO BUILD TIMER ?

Great map! Last part was tricky, but not too diifficlut once you come up with the solution.

You know it's a good carryover when you don't initially notice or find out that it was made in PeTI. Good work.

Great puzzle, just a little quiet without dialouge (Nah, it's just me :D)

It was a great puzzle. Just hard enough to make you stop and think

A good map with a fine puzzle. I didn't fully noticed that it was made in PeTI first (most maps you can see that it was edited in hammer a little, but just a little) and that gaved a better feel in the map.

In both rooms there are many possible stucks ( which end in suicide), but they are great puzzles and everything look preaty much good.

The bottomless pit is a bit... brighter than you would see in valve maps or other maps you should put the fog a bit darker. As well, I recommend on making a hurt trigger a bit higher and add a fade to go darker so that players would see the whole layout of the map from down.

Another thing, you should had realy putted more of a skybox, more random structures, as than I was realy felt like in the void. As well, you should put the elevators inside the skybox rather than outside ( using the portal doors to go to elevator).

I know this is your first attempts in hammer and I am just giving some tips.
Good luck

I've recorded my blind run. Having watched your walkthrough, I think that I took the same path in general but I kinda strayed here and there. You judge for yourself: blind run .

PS: I think you did a good job with the mapping! Surroundings could be a bit more filled to sort of eliminate the open view but still very enjoyable to look at!!!

Very cool! Very good puzzle!

@ Prototype : that panel down there is for players to get back up when they trapped themselves in the funnel and lost the cube.
@Kess : you played the first version of it, I found out about the portalable skybox and fixed it allready :)
Kess 15 Mar, 2014 @ 8:15pm
I found an unintended solution within 5 minutes of playing the map.

If that's intended then I wonder what the well lit panel underneath is for - lighting usually guides the player... I turned the music volume off when playing another map and forgot about it, there's nothing wrong with the map.
nintendo.erk  [author] 15 Mar, 2014 @ 5:08pm
Nope, 100% fully intended :) thanks for the playthrough.
I'll see what I can do about lighting things up and stuff.
About wheatley monitors and dialoge.. it's still beyond my hammer knowledge :O
I also wonder why there was no music, it works fine when I play it.

My blindrun , got distracted looking at everything ;-) I may have broken the first puzzle. Those panels on the side are much too dark. The identical tiling beams down into the pit look odd, maybe break it up with some panels or brushes... Other than that the puzzles are good, maybe add a wheatley screen and some dialogue.
