Report a translation problem
Having that automated would mean to program something where shooting also asks the user for target, that way it would calculate the table for to hit, with all the effects, criticals and all... Which may be possible but also a lot of work in TTS, because you also have to account for user scenarios where they want other factor, ship special rules, etc.
There is one thing that I seem to be having a problem with and I wonder if anyone can help.
If I set up a game, like the starting positions for the scenario Letter of Marque and rename the ships to my liking then save the game as Letter of Marque, it saves. Now if I load the new scenario up and right click on a ship the info panels do not show up. If I add a new ship that one shows the info panels when I right click. The other ship info panels still don't show up when I right click on them.
Any one get this? Any ideas about it?
Again great work.
All the best,
Frank
- Added the Sloop. There are many variants of the sloop, usually it's refered to the corvette-sloop, but the attributes in Black Seas are closer to a brig-sloop, so this is reusing the sloop model.
- Fixed a bug where changing the name a ship didn't update the top-left summary.
Ah well, there goes Trafalgar!
I have placed the ships as I wish, made sure I can play the game, and then saved.
When I reload, the ships are there, but no scripting, and it doesn't even save the board size.
What am I doing wrong?
- Added the Schooner, based ona design by Tobias de Maine. I would also like to give thanks to @GMT_Gina, which provided some schooners and sloops for the mod. I didn't end up using them as the one by Tobias is already textured and more appropiate than 3D printing files, but it was still a great gesture
- Large improvements to the sea
- Fixed a bug where starboard weapon ammo didn't show the appropiate range.
- Fixed a bug where cutters had 16 ship points instead of the 12 they should have.
- Significantly increased the ship name list, especially commerce UK, but also greece, sweeden, pirates and the kingdom of france.
- Fixed a bug where the angle of irons/downwind was wrong, it was 45º/30º when it should be 90º/60º, making it way way more permissive than it should be. Thanks to Dread to pointing this out.
- The ship UI now shows the specific wind angle, which can be helpful in some situations to not do trial and error. Furthermore, this message also updates on each turn, so using q/e you can also nail that position "just before irons" and similar.
- 16 new houses (4 designs on 4 different environments: eastern, mediterranean, western and northern)
- When ships get damaged, sails get visibly torn.
- Wind becalmed/swell now lists effects
- Fixed a bug where ships could still collide a bit with fog despite the terrain being fixed.
- Fortifications are not pickable when the terrain is fixed, instead of being locked.
- If you have use TTS rotation on a ship/fortification without picking them up, they will move in 1º degree angles, allowing you to easily line up that shot.
- Added the 1st rate, HMS Victory, and, without custom models, the L'Orient and Santísima Trinidad.
- Fixed a typo with Sweden, it was called "Sweeden". Sorry! And thanks to Big Floyd for commenting it.
- Both quick reference sheets are now aligned properly when using the Alt-view.
- Added squadrons (gunboats, gunbrigs)
- Added floating batteries
- Improved the turniing controls
- Increased the pool of Russian ship names.
- Fixed a bug where sometimes the surrendering flag (or when changing factions) spawned on the wrong side of the ship.
- Small Galley: Using a model representing a royal swedish schooner, now you can use this type of ships, commonly used in the finnish achipielago!
- Cutter: This small and agile ship was used in all navies in the world, plus many contrabandists. The model is based on the Snap Opp, a swedish cutter.
- Masts hit is now improved, and reduces the ship points by a quarter of the maximum.
Very beautiful, practical and funny mod.
Thank you for your work and for share it.
Cya.

- Small Merchant: Model based on the HMS Bounty
- Using the frigate model, added the 4th Rate, USS Consitution and HMS Indefatigable.
- Added smoke to represent which positions of a ship have fired. The smoke remains until you press Wind turn roll to begin a new turn.
- You can enable or disable the firing indicator.
- Changed the initial broadside with the change from the FAQ
- The gundeck critical effect now shows visually and effects the firing rolls.
- Added a new reference sheet with a flowchart of a ship's turn.
- Improved the wind turn order, which now ignores fortifications and dead ships, like the summary.
- Added more Ship names.
- Added fortifications: Gun Emplacements, Mortar Emplacements and Martello Towers
- Added more ships reusing hulls. This is temporary, but for now, this allows you to use their profile. The ships added are the 6th rate frigate, 64-cannon 3rd rate, Bucentaure, HMS Bellerophon, La Princesa and USS Essex.
- Added a lot of terrain! Walls, towers, breakwaters, new island/hills/cliffs. Also, it doesn't get removed when reloading, instead, its contained in 3 bags in the table.
I also posted a bit of the roadmap on the discord.
BTW Arkein and I will play and livestream a what-if scenario on the siege of Malta tomorrow, which you can watch live (or if reading this later, the link should be valid) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0QX82ZrE18
I'm not sure about your second question. What do you mean same line of fire? Port and Starboard can only shoot on straight line to the left and right of the ship, respectively. Each gun position shoots independently.
1) how do you make come out the ship statistic and guns panel without right clicking the ship(so i don't have the right click panel looming on my ship).
2) even if a ship doesn't have a stern or bow gun, shouldn't it have the same line of fire of every other ship?so i can understand where the port and starboard can fire

- Added more terrain.
- Added a feature to rename ships.
- Fixed a bug where dropping the ship points to half (Damaged) provoked an error on some circunstances.
- New ships added: frigate & third rate
- Initial broadsides: The first time a ship shoots its broadsides, it has additional cannons depending on size. This is now automated, and the mod takes into account ranges.
- Ship upgrades
- Added a mast hit button for that critical result, which removes visually the masts
- More terrain: A dock has been added.
- Better wind
- Changing ammo also is reflected on the range indicators depending on which type.
- The mortar shoots 360º now, which was incorrectly only shooting in the position mounted.
- Undo feature: Each ship stores it's position after moving and turning, and with a button next to the Move/Turn you can Undo to move it back.
- Better summary: On the top left all ships are listed. But now if you have a ship below break value, they will be on yellow. And if they surrender or capsize, they will be red.
- Fixed an error where the sails were not visible in certain resolutions.
- New ship added: The Bomb Ketch.
- Mortar shot
- Changing ammo/gun panel
- Terrain
- Changing board size
- Select crew experience level
- Fixed a bug where the bow sail of the Brig was not getting furled on Battle Sails.
