Thank you stormsend. Really glad you had fun!

I'm so confused. I know I threw those turrets in the goo. And the timer is so short. I'll try again. And again. What? Oh! I better keep my eyes open this time and go exploring. Aha. What a novel idea. Had me running in cicles or so I thought. Great fun. Very well made. Thank you for the enjoyment.

After months of work, I have published my first all-Hammer map: " Interface (Hammer Version) ". It is based on a very neat puzzle by Brave and can be played at multiple difficulty levels (the original was quite tricky). You can tour the observation rooms and there are training chambers if you still have trouble figuring out the puzzle.
daloboy  [author] 1 Apr, 2014 @ 2:53pm
Thanks for your tests Bayram! Of course, I don't expect testers to "find" the "true" exit. The map is just to explore the illusion of returning turrets. I won't use multiples exit in my next maps, because of this confusion and the cost of units which is to restrictive! Thanks again.
Bayram 1 Apr, 2014 @ 6:31am
I played the map again, to see if I could find out why I had the problem. I used turrets to mark the upper rooms, with the fizzler fields, in the order I came to them. When I finished, all the exits doors were open, as you said. The first and second have blue indicator lights and a blue timer symbol, so they don't look open from a distance. The third exit has yellow indicators and a yellow check mark, so this looks open. It is not the true exit; the first exit is the true one. If you go through any exit, all the exit doors close, so you've only a one-in-three chance of picking the right one, even if you ignore the indicators. The indicators send you to the wrong one. So, what I probably did was to go through the third exit, saw the white light and then, rather than re-play the game, used NOCLIP to look at the other exits and found them all closed. I don't know what other players are doing at the end to find the correct exit.

A plus man :)

OK Bayram: I have just replay, and all the exit doors are open! So, as you mention, maybe a problem with the game when you played! Of course, if I do another multiple exit doors map, I will use only 1 exit to prevent that white blinding light. Thank you for your constructive comments: always welcome!
daloboy  [author] 18 Mar, 2014 @ 5:15am
I will replay then. All the doors where open when I tested! Thank you Bayram.
Bayram 18 Mar, 2014 @ 4:27am
I see, but my game ended with all the angled-panel doors open but only one of the test chamber exit doors open - the wrong one . If this is not a problem with the map that's worth looking at, then sorry for wasting your time and maybe you want to delete these comments.
daloboy  [author] 17 Mar, 2014 @ 4:26pm
Bayram: Yes, you can reach the three exit at the end. What you do to one, does to all. The last pedestal open the last door, so every exit is open. I want you to see the 3 paths at the end, to realise the "magic" behind, so I opened the 3 upper and lower doors.
Bayram 17 Mar, 2014 @ 2:09pm
OK, but shouldn't the "genuine" exit to the elevator be the one that is finally open after the player has solved the puzzle? At the point where I figured that I had finished the map, the exit that was open led to a blinding white light, which is probably a linked_portal_door that is not connected to a partner. Presumably, one of the exits with timed doors was correctly partnered with the exit elevator and, unless I did the whole thing wrong, I cannot reach it.
daloboy  [author] 17 Mar, 2014 @ 12:04pm
Yes Bayram: with multiple exits, there only one "genuine" exit to the elevator! I choose to "reveal" the hidden doors so the player could see the mechanism. Thank you for your visit!
Bayram 17 Mar, 2014 @ 9:31am
Nice idea, but confusing for a player using quicksave/load instead of doing everything again. I did not notice the apparent reappearance of the turrets for a long time. When I went into what appeared to be the exit, there was no elevator, just a blinding white light, so the map didn't end properly.

Good eye lord_dhaf!
Lord Dhaf 5 Mar, 2014 @ 2:56pm
Nicely done! I noticed what happened after the first deja vu. My initial portal happened to be on a moving panel, and when it disappeared I got suspicious and tried the button again.

Zoraya: thanks for the feed back. I'll continu on your workshop.
Aardvark64: thanks for your test. Yes, when you go out in a "copied" exit, you die and go straight to Even!
Aardvark00 4 Mar, 2014 @ 5:42am
Ha Ha, neat trick, I did begin to suspect but nicely done. Not sure what happened at the end with the impossible exit. I don't think I've seen that done before. Now back to No.50
Zoraya 4 Mar, 2014 @ 3:01am
Hi daloboy, that was cool! I love turrets and I love your Turret Academies! I have some more on my queue and if I find the time I´ll be happy to try more of them (one I have already played but couldn´t finish yet, maybe I have to ask for help). Thanks.
daloboy  [author] 3 Mar, 2014 @ 3:59pm
Thank you too mood3rd! For your time, the info on Steam and the great pictures!
daloboy  [author] 3 Mar, 2014 @ 3:58pm
Thank you Zoraya! What was your felling about the turrets "coming back"? Did you guest what was really happening?
Zoraya 3 Mar, 2014 @ 1:30pm
That was a very enjoyable challenge! Turrets are my favorites. Thanks daloboy for creating it, your great work should have more subscribers.

daloboy
their was a glitch, I came across playing this map, yesterday.
the turrets shot me through a portal.
this is not supposed to happen.
I think quite a while ago, portal did an update, to stop this from happening.
I think yesterday, was glitchy day :)

Thank you | \_/ ()! Glad you enjoyed! I have subscribed to yours.

wooooooow! when I saw haw the illusion was made I felt like I've been played...and veeeery impressed! this is so awesome! it's also impressive that you did this only by using the puzzle creator. I actually started making maps with hammer now. check out this one: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=223406391 (you can read the description first)

achieved.
I just viewed your comments on the previous version of this map.
daloboy  [author] 26 Feb, 2014 @ 9:57am
Yes mood3rd, you're absolutly right! I hid the first No 55 after seeing Steam had again create another No 55. I'll will change the view so testers on it can see my post. Thanks.
mood3rd 26 Feb, 2014 @ 5:56am
ps. according to steam, I have 2 new comments that it says may have been moved or deleted.
so might be from you on the original version ?
if yes, I can not access them.
mood3rd 26 Feb, 2014 @ 5:53am
hi daloboy
I will probably try this version in the next couple of days.
but thought I would let you know, I suspect this update has a new address.
(steam has it as a different map, instead of updating your original)
unless you unpublished the old version.
as the old version dissapeared from my list.
I navagated to your workshop, to find this version.
other people may not, & might not play it, as a result ?
daloboy  [author] 25 Feb, 2014 @ 8:03pm
Updated version! Let me know what you think! Thanks.
