Seems like this mod doesn't work with the new Detailed Earth map as it has its own directory in Seasonal/Detailed Earth/Maps/BIG_EARTH/MOD/AI/Strategy.txt or Groups.txt

I was about to subscribe but then saw the comments and that it was last updated in 2020. Is this still usable? It sounds good.

can confirm, this mod lets the ai deploy ships anywhere in the world on top of their task forces immediately after a ship is destroyed

cool, thanks. I suspec there's probably no check in the core game engine for the AI doing this because the default AI will never try to do this. it's not really a diverse AI bug persay, but I'll definitely raise it with the dev to fix.

Just tested this by setting the game to have only North and South America, and started with all sub engine techs and a bunch of subs.
South America AI spawned a carrier with 2 destroyers escorting it in the top left of its territory. I had my subs kill one destroyer, at which point the AI immediately spawned in another destroyer on top of where the last one was killed, as seen in this screenshot:

I then disabled the Diverse AI mod and started another game with the same set-up. The AI put its carrier in the same place, and I used my subs to kill its destroyers, at which point the AI carrier just kept going north, as seen in this screenshot:

I think this mod might be causing AI to add ships to carrier groups even when the carriers aren't in friendly territory. I've seen my subs destroy a destroyer only for the AI to immediately place another destroyer in the battlegroup, and have also had AI add another sub to groups of two subs after I sink one. Im pretty sure I didn't have this happening without the mod active

Unfortunately it's not possible for a mod to change that level of fine-grained behaviour. Diverse AI mostly deals with strategic decisions, such as nuclear strategies, defensive build orders, etc.
