I have tested the station (the Steam version, not my local one) extensively and have not been able to reproduce the issues you and others have reported, so I don't know what would need updating. I have, however, made a train-only version that apparently doesn't have the issues that this version has, so you can use that and convert train tracks to metro with MOM. The link for that is in the asset desc.
SergJack is there any resolution to the difference between your local and the steam versions?

Whenever I try to place the asset it just says "Distance too short" am I doing something wrong?
