In my opnion vanilla is aways dumb and not fun, and people plays not looking for fun just challenging, and i and between fun and challenge, i like to balance the things to make the game not cheat and not un-playable as hard. It's ok i liked your answear it was very fast.

I have been playing a lot of vanilla game play with a friend, by request as they don't want to play with any mods, and found this happens with the Toxickelp in that game play as well. As it is vanilla, I don't know how to fix it growing above water without looking more into it, which I will likely not be doing any time soon.

TL;DR : Vanilla mechanics, not the mod misbehaving.

I don't know why it's possible to plant in the sand out of water, it's a kind of algae and needs water swallowing it to live.

As far I can tell; there's no problems keeping both.
They both do the same thing, just some minor changes in code; dedicated server-side fixes.

I have the 'Kelp Sapling Fix' do I need to uninstall that one before installing this one? or is the other one fine?
