hey sheepify im not editiing this map anymore, i got 7 days to die lol so ive not even opened the map editor for a while, and i would need to resave the map and re-upload to change the name :P

The more I play this, the more I love it.

hey zeratul u dont change in the map editor, you change one of the files before the editor compiles check through the comments theres a really good link to a how-to page :)

A very good map for a 1rst creation (a lot of fun with a friend on it).

Maybe add a real (and only) bridge at the middle ?

Where do you go in the map editor to change the population limit ?

Perfect map por trench combat, This is like WWI lol. I like how you make a map clean, enemy units cross the middle with no problems. The only bad thing is the MP incoming, when you make more than 100 pop is very low.

Hey Bushklopper, unless I increase the starting manpower (which I am working on) atm there is no way i know of to increase the manpower income unless Relic make an upadte to the game :)

nice map, good fight in the center, ammo & fuel income is ok and i love maps with a higher pop cap. but please increase the MP income, i think it is too low for this high pop cap.

Try making 2 destructable bridges instead of the indestructable land bridge.
Might make it more inviting to explosives lovers ;)

@stejr23pal As I mentioned in my earlier post, I actually liked the elevation. Usually elevation changes on the CHO2 maps are minor, so my elephant and arty love the line of site those hills provide. The manpower issue is not (as you know) limited to you. In other map maker posts I've read they were claiming it was a Relic limitation. I can't say for certain as I've not played with the map making tools. On nearly every map I play, manpower seems to be my limiting factor in the late game. I've seen a few maps where bundles of resource crates were stored on the map for use by the player and this might be a minor way to work around this issue. However, I'm not sure if manpower can be crated. You probably know more than I on this map feature.

Keep up the effort and don't be disheartened by a few negative comments. I'll certainly download more maps when available. :KneelingBow:

hey HerrGIS thanks for the feedback, to be honest, on the 5-8 player side it was to be urban, but upon seeing the lack of different buildings I decided to use abit of elevation and I was happy with the outcome. As you say the manpower issue is with Relic and the way they have designed the manpower aquisition so that the number of points you have is irrelevant it is the numebr of units and it seems like they have tried to 'bridge' the gap between good and not so good players. I have checked on forums on the internet and alot of people are not happy with the way it works out.

The issue I am having where my aim is to have a high initial manpower resourse and high pop cap but I cant figure out how to edit the SCAR file to do this, and Ive had no real tuition in the scripting required.

Perfect map for me as i only play comp stomp for fun, i am too old and slow to be playing this in ranked mode. Looking forward to seeing the sync issues gone as that would make it just perfect, 2 guys vs 4 ai is fun slaughter.

@stejr23pal The map worked fine for me (as P1) in a 4v4 when playing vs. the AI in a custom game. The one thing that caught me as a bit strange was the orientation of the slit trenches near the river that were facing away from the river. This may have been part of your design. The spawn points worked fine for special commander units - so good job on getting that right. I would perhaps have liked a bit more vegetation along the river to provide concealment for units. The limiting factor on this map is the manpower income that throttles down to a max of 99/min, but, I believe this is an issue with all maps. I've played this map 3 times. It's good to use for rapidly getting those achievements related to "achieve three levels of veteran status with {insert unit}. Contrary to comments the map is not flat on the north side. It felt like I was playing on a bit of open rolling plain, so if that was your goal - it worked for me. Overall a good job for a first map.:Honored:

Hey Borg the pop cap increase is in the map making files, before you export the map you have to edit a file using notepad (or notepad ++ if you have it). Its really simple I will show you anything I have figured out as I am fairly new to this as well. Got some issues to iron out tonight and tomorrow then looking forward to starting work on a new map which I will keep posted on here and update as I make it.

Total crap: team setup not working (CoH2 crashes). The map shows up as "Test" in the list. The landscape is flat and empty, no details give. Boring map layout. The author should (1) learn the basics of level editing and (2) learn to test his own stuff. What a waste of time.
