Where did you get the scans for the cards? They are amazing
Strinder  [author] 27 Aug @ 9:40am
I look forward to seeing it!

Also working on a raid expansion for players to go against a fanmade scripted raid boss (Universe 11, Golden Meta-Cooler, & Cell Max are bosses I’m thinking about at the moment).

Started a template for rules and structure, once I finalize I’ll make cards to wrap it all up 👍🏽.

I could even forward it in an e-mail and/or message a video clip/photos explaining the run down. First time doing anything like this, never did anything in the workshop historically.

Your work on this is amazing btw, just wanted to contribute 🙂. I noticed everything online for GT is lackluster, had to get rule book off Etsy so I could scan it itself.
SquallyChimp 27 Aug @ 3:10am
Exactly why I asked 👍🏽. Want me to forward you everything so you can review?

I'd prefer you not just re-upload this mod with some things added. I put a hundreds of hours of work into this over the years and will likely keep making periodic updates (image changes could break yours if you just copy/paste). However, I have NO interest or desire to ever do a GT mod and have no problem with you taking the resources from this mod to do so (Scouters, place mats, scripts, etc)

If you want users to be able to use both your mod AND this mod at the same time I would recommend putting instructions on performing an "Additive Load" in your mod for players to do on their end

Please note the errata that this mod uses is different from the GT one, many cards will not reflect current rulings for the GT variant of the game.

If you choose to add the card pack model, tuckboxes, or scouters to your mod make sure to add the appropriate information from this mods description to yours (in addition Tumba asks that those that use the tuckboxes leave a comment on his mod page for it)

Hi there! Just finished adding all gt cards to your mod and made some tlc adjustments with background and music. Wanted to know if it’s okay for me to reupload, didn’t want you to think I’m stealing your work.

Waiting on GT rule book to arrive so I can scan and add last thing missing

The original starter decks back in the day were just a random assortment of specific rarities of cards and this is what the mod reflects. These won't be removed in the update but the process will be streamlined alongside the addition of custom starter decks. I don't have enough time currently to collaborate on anything, but feel free to pull the pack generation code out and re-purpose it.

Awesome! I look forward to it. I haven't seen these cards since they came out and I wanted to see if I could play with a friend. Looking into though, i'm confused if the starter decks were even true set lists or not. The back just says "X Common, X Uncommon, etc". So its almost like a big booster pack, but I'm not sure.

I have a few MTG mods that I'm working to create booster generators for. I'd love to collab on something if you are interested.

I do not have any starter-deck lists for this mod at this time. However, I plan to do a large update for it in the summer (2025) when I have some time. This update will transfer many of the improvements I have made for the very similar "Dragon Ball Z Panini TCG / FanZ" mod over the last three years. One of those improvements will be true starter decks.

Do you have any deck-lists for the Hero and Villain Starter Decks? Or can they be added to the collection? I've searched high and low and I can't find anything online.

This collection/mod looks great. Wonderful job.

A lot of images had to be edited to have any hope of reading the text so yes. In these cases the cards you see are often composite images. Most of the ultra rare personalities were edited as were most of the capsule corp power pack personalities in particular.

Hey I'm interested in your file images. Did you end up modifying the pictures of foil only cards such as the subset promos and etc?
Strinder  [author] 8 Jan, 2022 @ 4:32pm
To save a deck stack all the cards you want in the deck together in a single deck first. Right click the deck and choose "save object". Name the deck as desired and choose the folder to save it in. To access the deck choose the "Objects" tab at the top of the screen and then "Saved Objects" in the window this opens. Keep in mind you will need to have permissions from the host to do this, which can be granted by the host right clicking your name and choosing "Promote".

Keep in mind the scouter call buttons on the personality cards will not work if you use another table and don't take the six blue scouter bags that are on the mod's table. To help you keep your deck, scouter bags, anger sword, and power chart together you can use the colored tuck boxes provided in the mod (or empty one of the set tuck boxes and use that if you prefer). Simply put everything you will need in the box, close it, and then save it as described above.

What is the best way to create my own deck and save it?

Thanks for the response. Mostly I was just trying to get a handle on how well vetted the retro cards were. Sounds like they had a chance to be played and have rulings made on them to keep them fair to use.
Strinder  [author] 3 Dec, 2021 @ 7:52pm
The answer is complicated. "Retro" cards were not created by Score so if that is your idea of official then the answer is no. After Score ended work on the DBZ card game a group called RetroDBZ began running tournaments at many conventions. These convention tournaments allowed use of these retro cards. Many of the original creators supported this effort so if your idea of official is that they were used at high profile tournaments then yes.

Been really enjoying this game with some friends; but we had a question. Are the "retro" cards official or fan made cards?
Kerrus 9 Jul, 2021 @ 7:16pm
I was just reminiscing with MTG playing friends about how GT killed this game at my LGS (I still have my original cards, but GT power creep was something else). Thanks so much for putting this together, wouldn't mind re-learning how to play and finding some people to get games in.
Strinder  [author] 25 Jul, 2020 @ 9:56am
@Orideth Unfortunatly due to the massive power creep when GT cards were introduced they are not included in the Retro Format that this mod uses. When life calms down for me again I may very well make a GT mod as well. If in the meantime you want to play with those cards in your own group you can use the images from the fine people at Retrodbz.com in conjunction with the deck builder included with tabletop simulator to import them yourself. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you at this time.

P.S. If you do decide to import them yourself and want the card back image the rest of the cards use hit me up again.

This thing is great! Good work and thank you! I can't find the Brolly subset 2 tho, I see the 4 personality cards in the file with Bojak but not any of the cards released with the Baby Saga GT subset that is widely considered to just be part of the original game.
