Disable all other mods except this one and try again.
If the mod works properly, one of your other mods is conflicting with this mod.
Enable the other mods one by one to rule out which is the culprit.

They are a Shock Infantry unit with 2 ammo. They are not ranged units, just like the Ironbreakers.
And now it should work with custom units.

I noticed that the new Skink Oracle (skink caster mounted on a Trogolodon) and the new Lizardmen lord, Oxyotl, don't seem to get this skill.
I unsubscribed and resubscribed after I saw you added Trogolodons so I should have the newest version. I checked by looking at the unit cards. I saw the skill on my chameleon skinks but not these two hero units.
When I played through the Taurox campaign I also noticed that summoned Cygors do not get the skill. Normally summoned units despawn after a bit so it's probably a non issue for most players. I think the only reason I noticed it at all is I've been using a mod since I played as skaven that prevents summoned units from despawning.
You have another mod enabled that crashes your game, or, you need to verify the intergrity of your game files.
If you are starting a save that was started before the update, I recommend you start a new save.
I tested it on High Elves and it still works.
Please let me know if any new ranged units is missing the Endless Drums ability.
I've uploaded a patch that removes SFO's limit of the ability uses which is 10 and reverts it back to infinite:
